In addition to what the other person said, you can mention tormenting yourself over the eryines or lost love, as well as saying you broke a promise. Some of these options are only available depending on previous choices you made.
If you pick any of those, they will hold your hand. Respond positively, and you’re good.
As I said before it’s possible to do them all: For me relying on strong trait worked to get the girdle of the amazon queen, to defeat the hydra, and to clean the stables. I think it might be better to do those where you would use a trait early then as the trials get harder (there is a warning when that happens also the game keeps mentioning that our MC gets more tired the more trials they do) switch to using items or picking options related to the godly parent. Now I only know where being a child of Bacchus can be useful against the man eating horses and the hesperides, but I’m sure the other godly parents can also help with some trials, as for the items the hydras poison can be used to kill the birds.
Not sure if this helps, but I think these are the items we can get during the trials (and gets some use in the game): poison from the hydra, the beaks of the birds, golden apple from the hesperides
So there is only one trial where Zeus or Gaia would help? Starting to respect Bacchus more (I only picked him as godly parent bc he seemed to be the one to boost cunning).
As for my opinion about the game. I liked it for the most part. Well romances didn’t seem an important part of it but the switch between how the MC, a warhero deals with the past (and with the Erinyes tormenting them) and the more action packed scenes made me almost forget about it. Also the changes from the original like Circe joining the crew thus enabling us to get to see an other side of her was interesting too. And I liked the fairly easy stat management too. What I didn’t like was that after the decision about what to do when we find out about Calypsos plan to lure us to the Lotus eaters isle things happen maybe a bit too fast pacedly. Just to name one example I thought if I decide to go home to save Penelope there’d be more trouble with the suitors, but I made one choice (which didn’t even work out how I planned) then in one page the issue was dealt with. Also even tho my MC prioritised saving the spouse yet in the end I didn’t really feel like I get to know Penelopes character. So I guess bc of the rushed feeling of the ending I’d give 4,5 out of 5, half a point bonus bc my love for greek mythology.
Pretty sure all of the godly parents would get the chance to help out here and there othervise what would be the point of including them in that choice?
I don’t know…i didn’t see many choices for the god of decay. Only the common choice where all 4 of them can help you in their own way. Other than that, nothing. So he is in disadvantage.
Aftert the third trial you’re tired and so you need better stats. I think the first three you only need average, like 55 or so to succed, but then each one is harder than the last. The poison seems to make it an automatic success so what I did is start with the Hydra, and let those for my main stat (cunning, silvertongue) for later, and the birds for last where i used the poison
Oh I see. Seems to be an error on the author part then to neglect him.
Edit: A song I thought fitting while playing this game: https://youtu.be/7_L1sR_Ocl0
Tho it’s in Hungarian so… Anyway it basically uses the image of Odysseus leaving Calypso and her isle behind so I guess It’s obvious why this game made me think of this song.
