Off to a good start, I like it. Well written and I didn’t notice any big mistakes.
Regarding the male pregnancy, personally I’d like it just for the novelty of it. While I probably would spend a couple minutes pondering the biological necessities, I wouldn’t have any problem with it. Experiment away

Everyone talking about mpreg, so I thought I might as well throw in my own two cents. The concept always weirded me out (than again, I think normal pregnancy is kind of gross, too), but if you think it’s too important to your game to swap it out, than keep it in. As long as you don’t go into, idk, vivid detail, I’m sure we’ll be fine.
As soon as the word ‘Mer-people’ came up I instantly thought of Disney’s The little Mermaid. So I named my mermaid Ariel, and the tune ‘Under the sea’ danced across my mind, upto the point where I was humming it. I loved it.
@Babisko Really loving the originality of this. It was quite a surprise that no one else has made a big deal about a mermaid/man CoG.
The whole mpreg thing… Well this idea isn’t totally related but I’m just gonna throw it in.
Say there’s a pond full of fish, and there’s a lack of females it is possible for male fish to switch their gender to female. And vice versa.
Could this be a merpeople thing? Or does help in any way?
Personally I do find the mpreg business kinda weird but then merpeople are human, though it is easy to think of them as such, so it could work. But I doubt many people would like it in any detail with male or female.
I’m gonna kind of be a broken record and say I love the game and the idea of a mermaid/merman Choice of Games game.
I’m not really into the Mpreg idea, mostly because if I’m playing a male character…I’m not really sure how I’d feel about him gettin pregnant.
I guess it’s because I’m the kind of person who believes you can be gay but don’t necessarily have to be feminine or womanly (esp. not to the point where you can actually get pregnant,lol)
Anyway, so far the story seems great, and I REALLY hope you finish it

I haven’t gotten far in this at all yet, I just came to tell you how much I flipped out (in a good way) to see that my own real first name was the first option for female names. Especially cause it’s not a very common one. good taste in names you have, my friend 
Clearly this game its not for me but i want give my opinion hoping serve to observe another opinions; i try to be objective.
I hate sweet coated soap operas , i love love stories though always are credible and not a bunch of my sweet darling i would die for you if you don’t come to the party .
Romance alone its nothing without a great storyline see bioware romances to observe the kings of romances in games. They follow the idea of a special mission attached to each romance to pass from friendship to romance also some triangle tension between characters is needed.
Why i believe this game its not for me stats basically, and story do far my character is good and innocent so contrary to choice of romances my cynical mind says do you really got yo play a game when you have to follow all the topics you hate ; about romances ? i love a cynical way similar to choice of romances my character don’t want no one she could be cruel and sabotage all dates to end alone. Or more cool try to weeding someone powerful to gain power like choice of romances.
and about pregnant males or not let choose i don’t want to i don’t found it cool or entertain . Except my character has to to become king queen then i drop the baby to a nurse the idea of care a baby in a choice of game its a boring nightmare for me.
Also the demo so far its ok i prefer more personality choices and my loved charm selfish one but its better than i though when i reed mermaids i was imaging babies and aquatic ponies :-& . Maybe im too cynical for this games sorry for the opinion too far the rest of people here

Just met all 4 merpeople LI’s, really looking forward to the finished product. Also since the general consensus on Mpreg is NO!, I’d suggest just being a couple of rebels about the same sex relationship :v. Or you could go with ambiguity (still I suggest the rebel thing), its your call though.

I looked at the code, since I figured there was something on the island but I couldn’t do the island right. I think I got shot or something. I can’t remember since it was a while since I played it.
