While my mc would normally always be up for some clothes shopping, this ceremony will be the exception. Ordering the stuff online in approximately the right sizes is about all the preparation he’d be prepared to do for it and he certainly doesn’t want to go shopping for that embarrassing event with one of his new class and age mates.
No the shopping will be for the MC change of clothes. Your Formal clothes will be provided for you when you get ready for the ceremony.
So does that mean we won’t just shop with our aunt and whoever goes with us will get to see my mc in his old, now ill-fitting fat boy clothes, ugh embarrassing. 
So we won’t get to choose them? That sucks cause there is no way my mc will dress-up for that particular “party”.

Yes you will decide form 4 outfits to wear at the ceremony the clothes are just provided for you so you don’t have to go out to buy them.

No they take you out to help persuade you to join their Coven. The Ceremony isn’t until farther along in the book.
It might if I decide to use that outfit. But you won’t look like the hired help unless you cast a spell to look like a skeleton lol since the caterer uses them as waiters.
Actually how bad that is does kind of depend on the length of your chapters. Still kind of disappointed our Aunt isn’t letting us get something better than that right after moving though, particularly since money is not a problem for her. I hope that outfit at least comes with normal trousers and not just shorts or something.
The witches know that, any human friends we might make, fortunately won’t. 
I have to wear a hoodie for 3 chapters? I know me and @idonotlikeusernames is at the opposite side of styles in this WiP … but having to wear a hoodie for 3 chapters would drive all my MC’s to crazyville.
Is there a way I can go Goth-classy (like the Oscar dress I showed you) earlier - just change the color from black to white for the good coven (so far it seems I am a night witch :P))

Yeah, just having some hoodies for who knows how long is a fashion nightmare. And what do you mean opposite styles, just for that party or in general?
My mc generally likes nice clothes, but not for that one ceremony among the thirteen year-olds. Actually he might just wear the hoodie to that one, like I said he really doesn’t want to dress-up for that one.

Would be more my mc’s normal style, if he is ever allowed to pick his own clothes that is. However at that one party he’d do practically anything to blend into the background as much as possible. If that is not possible then he will simply refuse to dress-up for it in any way and go in his worst “casual” outfit, which likely means that dreadful hoodie.

Why not give both as choices… one more Gothic (my favorite #1) than elegant and the other more elegant (#2) than Gothic? I like both but #1 is one I fell in love with since the Oscars. lol. Now everyone knows I like “simple elegance” as a style. lol.
So far, (for this WiP) your MC has been very reluctant to establish his style… wanting to hide in shirts 3x larger then needed or in suits that blend in… My MC wants to establish her style immediately drawing a red line in the sand telling everyone that the new Queen bee is here and this is her style… lol… so our MC characters in this WiP (only) seem on opposite sides of things.
True, but see above. The “blending in” only holds true for the first few days of his new school (when he is unsure of it) and things he really doesn’t want to go to or attend (like that highly embarrassing ceremony).

See, My MC wants to establish her style ASAP. regardless what anyone else thinks. I guess she is a rebel of “Abby”-nature in NCIS fame.
Ooo saw this dress design and might make it the White Coven dress but add a veil and change the colors to white.

None of us will be allowed to do it ASAP it seems as for the first few chapters we apparently won’t even have access to any nice clothes that we might actually want to wear. 
If that holds true then I can see that trend evolving into my mc eventually mostly attending school and a few events he doesn’t really want to go in his “blending in” gear and, on normal days, changing at home once school is out into the (sort of) clothes he actually likes and wants to wear.
Cuz the four choices are I guess the gothic dress could go with the Witches hat. But that still leaves those 2 choices for the Night Coven dress.
