Jk (maybe), but I have been planning out that convo that Aki mentioned you’ll have with Forlorn eventually, and I think I’m rather happy with the current plan. I think it’ll serve to give him some more depth than just “rabidly overprotective”. I’m looking forward to hearing the thoughts when it sees the light of day.

Because “rabidly overprotective” is more Seeker’s shtick with the sword.

A Quick Treat (official art!!!)

Hello guys! I hope you’re all doing well! I’m sorry I haven’t been able to post an update regarding Chapter 5 yet (school, real life and a bunch of other stuff piled up together to ruin the past month), but I’m pretty much done with the planning phase now. Chapter 5 shouldn’t be as long as Chapter 4 (given it’s mostly an action focused chapter), so my current estimate has it being done some time in January… so look forward to that!

But in other news, while I have been taking a bit of a break (I just finished this semester, and my birthday is coming up in about… 15 days), I have been trying to get some extra stuff done. It includes a couple of commissions, one of which I’ll post alongside Chapter 5, and the other will have to stay hidden for a little while longer, lest it give you a couple of ideas I don’t want you to come up with yet… but! The main thing is this:

I always imagine forlorn as being some buffed out 90’s comic book looking character with an upper-body twice the size of what should normally be humanly possible

I’ve heard that often, yes He definitely gives off this rugged, “too experienced for this bull” impression, but no, really, he’s just a really muscled pretty-boy who’s barely into his mid-twenties.

There’s a very good reason for that dissonance, and we’ll see it eventually.

I too was picturing Forlorn as at least on Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson level in terms of physique.

But in reality he isn’t that much more muscular in appearance than I picture my own mc to be.

Yep, me too, although my mental reference was the Rock.

Now this gets me thinking if the superhero thing doesn’t work I suppose my male mc, Mars, Forlorn and Seeker are all pretty enough to form a superpowered boy band.

Great Art, I love Ignis’s Hairstyle and Earrings plus her Jacket looks awesome, Forlorn looks as I expected him, though his hairstyle was a surprise for me.
And Seeker, well he has hair in front of his face , anycase he looks good too, plus his sword looks awesome especially the hilt, my compliments to the artist.

Forlorn looks as I expected him, though his hairstyle was a surprise for me.

The pains of not having commissioned him before making themselves apparent, I suppose.

But yes, it’s a really great piece. It also includes a couple nice easter eggs, assuming you’re perceptive enough. Lunarinh really made an excellent job.

I like the art but I’ll keep imagining forlorn as a black man with the physique of oliva from baki series, a buzz-cut and goggles like those that cyclops wear for heat vision, also a black and yellow spandex suit without sleeves and the lower part of the suit only ends above the knees, showing off all of those insanely ripped muscles, seeker is kind of as I imagined him, only that my version had long blond hair lake-green eyes, stubble beard, henry cavill physique, trunks-like sword scabbard, sword is kind of the same as I imagined it, but I imagined him in like a fantasy hero suit, left arm silver bracelet with a red gem, white scarf, full medium-green suit, red martial art belt, and white lace-up boots, ignis I imagined as a jean gray with a red and pink spandex suit and a waist reaching cape, alse more long and fiery hair, I guess I’ll make a few adjustments on my mind for both ignis and seeker, but the forlorn of my imagination is staying as is lol

That’s definitely a very… colorful image of the characters, I’ll admit A Baki version of Forlorn definitely sounds like a treat to see.

If the series was more inspired by the X-Men than Superman/Batman and Dragon Ball, then perhaps…

Joke aside, i really wanted to say that the “chu-chu motherfckr!” is my favorite part of the book! First time i read, i almost laughed hysterically xD
