This was really nice and I was so disappointed when I reached the “Play again” screen. We haven’t even met the rest of the cast but I already love them. Can’t wait for the next update!

UPDATE POST
Demo ver 2.0 is finally here! This is a massive update that nearly doubles the previous demo’s word count (48k → 87k), and advances the story right up until the protagonist properly dies. As promised (over on Tumblr), the exoneration scene is also included in this update. The link to the demo remains the same as in the OP.

New in this update:
- Massive update to the story content, nearly doubling the word count from 48k to 87k. Demo now ends after MC’s flashbacks.
- A revamped personality section, including two new opposite-pairs: Emotional vs Stoic and Optimistic vs Cynical.
- Additional character customization options, including a curvaceous build, golden eyes, and a much more detailed range of skintones.
- Various minor coding & grammar fixes.
- SAVES WILL BE BROKEN. Please start over from the beginning.
Coming next:
DEMO ver 2.5
Release date: Late March (Patreon) / Mid-April (Public)
Planned features:
- Roughly 10k words of new narrative, which will introduce the remaining members of the core cast.
- Revamp of choices for the first half of the demo, including all-new ones to reflect the expanded stat bar.
- New stat screen elements, including explanations for each stat (including the schools of magic) and a history of used spells including their explanation.
- Revisions to MC & NPC dialogues such that it will change according to what MC’s personality meters look like.
- Minor rewrites for whatever scene I feel could use it,
- Streamlined coding (which will have no visible impact on the front-end, but will make future demos less buggy & less tedious to write).
- Bug and grammar fixes.

—okay. Yeah, yeah I’m fine. This is fine. This is—fine. /commence several hours of crying/
Memes aside, I’m sobbing over this update. There is a lot to love, and a lot to make me wail like a little baby, and as it turns out those two particular reactions overlap a significant deal. I don’t want to get too in-depth with spoilers but can I just say my favorite bits—
- Our new interactions with Sister are heartbreaking in the best of ways even after all of the horrible things she’s done,and will do, as I’m pretty confident this isn’t gonna be the end of seeing her, it’s hard not to pity her when we get even the barest glimpse of how terrible and full of pain her life has been.
- Really, all of the relationships in general have been so amazing—I adore each and every one of them, and ROMANCING LEON…WOW. THATS AN OUCH FROM ME. I haven’t played through Ilya yet but I am confident it will be just as beautiful and just as heartwrenching
- The story itself! It feels kind of ridiculous to say but I really like how our big problem leading to the outdoor mage firework event can be taken in multiple ways—it doesn’t feel highly unrealistic that someone might be resentful (because hello, they did get killed), nor does it feel unrealistic to forgive them for it (because yeah! murdering twenty people (albeit accidentally and then STABBING the high priestess looks pretty bad, and is pretty high up on Crimes I Won’t Give Leon Shit for Being Mad About! I’m so intrigued by the future plot points—(who resurrected MC/why?) and also amused by how awkward it’s gonna be if we come across Ante again, so like. a lot to look forward to!
also is it bad that I want to give my character coughing problems because of being burned at the stake? All that smoke can’t be good for your lungs, plus it’s got a lot of angsty potential…my poor girl im just trying to stack the bad on her huh, I swear I want her to be happy
Anyway this was a wonderful read! I’m so excited to see what comes next :-D.

If those are old saves from before this update they are useless, it’s stated in Parivir update statement it’s in bold writing.

MC’s reply of ‘I am’ to whatever the answer Sister gives to MC’s question feels way off and weird…
Maybe Sister should ask something like “Are you ready?” Then it’ll match that ‘I am’ MC says…

Just finished the updated demo, and the reveal of the mage’s true intentions and heroism felt emotional to me. I think the letter was a good way to go about it.
I can’t believe this is still just the “beginning”. Can’t wait to see what happens after being reborn! Keep up the good work 
Also, I would have never guessed that English is your third language, this is very well written!
