Oi @Parivir
The Big Reveal of MC is a great one…
Idiots, lol what’s the use of crying after cruelly killing the one that saved them all…
Lol this is indeed a cruel and illegal cliffhanger

I cried. Thank you, Parivir.
Hi everyone! Sorry for the radio silence, I’ve been working quietly in the background to address all the bugs and typos reported so far. Thank you so much for the overwhelming response
You’re right, it is! That encounter was designed for you to go through the option in order, and in testing I’ve never really tried out all the other permutations. Fixing it requires a bit of coding magic that I can’t summon at the moment, so it’ll have to wait for a bit :(( all the other errors you reported are now fixed, though! Thanks for going through it so thoroughly.
We have that in common, I think Writing the ending segment of this demo was…an experience.
I want this (and pyrophobia) to be an option so bad, but even just dealing with the limp/head injury/face scar is already giving me a headache. I’ll definitely consider it, but it’s not a priority right now.
I always enjoy your detailed breakdown of the updates, btw. It’s fascinating (and validating) to see which parts of the game spoke most to readers, and it kinda gives me a little base to work with for the next update!
I really put that girl through it, huh Sorry Ilya, it was all in the service of angst
Thank you so much, I was nervous as hell about posting a story to native English speakers, but looks like all those English courses are finally paying off now
Sorry you feel that way I had thought it was a pretty kind/conclusive place to end the demo. I’ll work hard to get the next update live asap!
Hello, I think the error is caused by loading a save from the previous build. The new demo uses a ChoiceScript feature called implicit control flow, which modifies the code structure quite a bit, causing errors like this one. I recommend starting over from a new save–sorry for the trouble!
No problem, but lol I really thought it’d be irritating at this point by me pointing everything…
Lol don’t tell me you cried while writing it
Illya scenes are really
well written despite all the emotional moments…
I didn’t mean it like that, lol this update is so damn captivating and interesting that it felt bad that it abruptly ended…
Currently heartbroken over the way that Leon switched up on MC without remorse, like… the switch up after the sweet goodbye just killed me, and he was mean no matter what options I chose in the dungeon but really enjoyed the update! I almost forgot there’s still a WHOLE lot of story to be told! Lol.
The update has me floored. I absolutely love the ending segment when everyone finds out about the MCs innocence. The writing is heart-wrenchingly beautiful, and I found myself re-reading again and again.
I’ll share my stats, when I’m done crying over this update!
I read the scene where everyone finds out that MC is their saviour and they all burned them alive so many times…
Thank you! And definitely don’t feel obligated to bring asthma in the game, that’s something that’s very easily headcanonable I gotta say though, the Leon bird’s eye view is giving me ideas for a fanfic
because apparently when I say I love the characters and want them to be happy, I mean after generous amounts of pain. It’s like a dessert that way :).
Thank you so much! I’m glad my inane ramblings are of use to you I adore the game and the world you’ve created! Super excited about everything
“I’ll always come back to you.”
I guess the MC took it literally
Not going to lie… cried at the end of the demo. Keep up the good work!
The coding changed enough that you need to start from the beginning.
I’ll say that saying goodbye to Ilya at the end was quite emotional. Teared up a little bit. …alright, a lot.
Also, the story was written well enough that you can clearly understand the thought process of characters. Like, you can hold a grudge on Leon for not listening to you and instead, listening to Ante who has been basically badmouthing you to Leon from the start but at the same time, it doesn’t feel out of place to be forgiving of him because the situation does look pretty bad.
So, uh, I hope for a middle ground in holding grudge. Like, “I don’t hate you Leon as I said I forgive you but I ain’t forgiving Ante. So gonna kill her, sorry.”
That kinda thing. It especially makes sense if you take Ilya’s offer and Ante stops her I think, which is how I am going with it.
That was such a good wrap I’m surprised this is only the beginning. I feel like I should toss a few bucks in to your tip jar right now.
Why can’t MC do anything to the Sister’s spell that prevent us from talking about her plan ? I thought MC is strong enough to disable it and besides, Sister is practically dying so she can’t cast any high tier spell, right ?
MC has their mana ducts hemorrhaged and short circuited from using the Phantasma (Nyx and other entities) and they are exhausted…
It took seven years for MC to get rid of it the first…
And as for Sister (Myr) casting a hight tier spell while literally dying. She already used her life and almost exhausted her mana to male that detonation rune, so you really think she can’t cast that collar thing while dying,pm her last breath?!?
Oh god… Now that was heartbreaking.
I’m kind of glad that I only discovered the game yesterday and had the entire Part One at once and it wraps up well, and I’m also kind of destroyed because it was too much at once and my heart can’t take it?
I love all three main characters truly featured in this part, and also the inkeeper… that poor lady, I feel so bad for her… it’s so so awful…
Of course, it was also a nightmare for Ilya and certainly Saine too, considering they apparently never lost faith in the MC. The goodbyes in the cell have been… oh dear…
My MC decided not to let them save him, for the good of the kingdom and for Leon’s good, but I guess that made the blow even harder once the truth was known.
Though, honestly, Ilya and Saine are one thing, but Leon… I can’t even begin to imagine what he felt once he recieved news from Ilya telling him the truth about what happened. His scene in the prison is one of the things that hit me the hardest, because of the moments of doubt and hurt here and there, under that confused anger. There was an obvious will to trust, to accept a valid explanation, but since there was none…
I assume Myreille wrote down a memo about having to use that awful spell on her brother to prevent him from talking in her journal, aside from the things related to her “bomb”, too… So that sur had to come back to bite Leon, since he couldn’t trust his friend when he was simply saying he’s innocent but couln’t tell anything.
Not to mention, in my case the MC told him he forgives him…
His guilt must be really crushing… That’s why, aside from the MC himself, of course, I think Leon must be the one that has the worst time right now… Especially since while the MC has forgiven him, I’m not sure Saine did…
Aah… I’m going to go back to crying now…
Well, no… not exactly now - I have to share my stats, report bugs and ask questions first.
Keep in mind my “Reserved” stat was higher during most of the game. Generally speaking, I like the use of Charming/Reserved instead of Charming/Shy, since I like to play characters with high charisma but who are shy, and in some games it’s really impossible. But by the end of the current demo, I though some choices were a bit unbalanced, where you were “loosing” Reserved percentage if you were nice / selfless - I would have rather seen some percentage added to “Emotional” or “Noble”, or simply made these purely RP choices with no stat consequences. I was around 64% Reserved until the talks in the cell, I think?
During free time in the second part, if I select to go and see Ilya, she ask my MC how good is he at alchemy, and the options are:
But the second one is greyed out, and I don’t understand why since it IS my MC’s specialty. Is it a bug, or is it something else?
I have Airas, but in one scene when preparing to attack Myreille at the end, the text considers it’s Satiel:
I don’t have a screencap for that but it’s only in the stats screen so eh. It says: “the aid of Airas, the the Beckoning Hand” - “the” is repeated. I don’t know if that was the case during the entire time once I got that, or only at the end, since I’ve noticed it right now while rechecking things for this report…
I think that’s it for bugs and issues, but I also have a few regular questions.
I think that’s it. I won’t exactly say I had “fun” with this game, considering how depressing it is, but I liked it a lot.
More than expected, actually. I was unsure if I wanted to play it or not, at first, because quite often, stories where the MCs untimely death and return to life are the pivotal point can be comical in tone, and I rarely enjoy comedy. That’s because a lot of people don’t know how or don’t have the courage to make a serious story with impact enough relating to said death considering it’s something the readers/players/spectators know from start.
But you pulled it off perfectly. I don’t remember the last time I cried so much while reading something.
Also, fun fact. From reading the ROs’ descriptions, I was directly attracted to Falco and planned to romance him. But then, came Leon… oh god… with ALL THE DRAMA that happened, I can’t see myself selecting any other RO now.
Okay, now I’m seriously going back to cry in a corner. Thanks for the feels!
Unless you’re romancing Ilya lol
Yeah but I’m not, so I wouldn’t know. Talking mostly about my playthrough.
