A Mage Reborn, Book Two (WIP) - UPDATED April 5th, 2025 | Book One Released!

About a year and a few months. Also If you meet Saine he will essentially say she is still mourning and hasn’t moved on I’m pretty sure all of them are worse off since then

Saine’s drinking himself half to death and as far from Param as possible, Leon’s running himself ragged on a holiday he made for MC, and Ilya’s likely doing the same. Yep, they’re not doing great… The irony that MC got over their own death faster than any of them in the same amount of time is hilarious irony though.

Judge from what we’ve heard, I doubt it.

I have a feeling the reason why Saine chose to stay away from Param is because he’s probably pretty damn close to killing Leon or at the least, beat him to near death. Remember how he reacted at the end when Ilya found out the truth? He probably still holds onto that feeling after nearly 2 years and his drinking kind of proves it. I think it was also mentioned by author that Saine actually went to Leaf End to work for Aunt Bess for a few months without telling her who he was just so he would know how the mage lived before they met the others.

Eli does kinda do everything better than Leon. Cook, socialize, heal, and uh…not murder the love of their life.

If anything is gonna make Leon crack about MC moving on to Eli within a few days of coming back to life, it’s gonna be the fact MC likes Eli’s cooking better. Well, EVERYONE will like Eli’s cooking better. That’s world war material. MC becoming a Helen of Troy is not something I oppose.

I asked this on Tumblr, but what do you guys think about calling Leon by his government name the next time MC sees him? I’m praying the author puts it in the game because…:face_with_hand_over_mouth: The drama.

“Look, I’m sorry I set you on fire.”

“Really? I thought you’d be happy you finally cooked something right.”

I’m totally doing that. Leon was one of my closest friends despite being as dense as a black hole and thinking cyanide is a type of spice, he was a guy I could always trust to have my back. Leomar is the king that had me executed, albeit ignorant of the context of the situation. I guess my death made both of us into different people.

BlockquoteI can’t remember if I mentioned this before, but I wonder why Sister didn’t tell the truth about Eli still being alive. All she had to do to make sure all of Param perished was tell MC Eli is alive and in trouble. If MC doesn’t find them soon, they’ll die again. My MC would fall for it WITHOUT QUESTION.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Tahlia kept that from Mireil since she obviously saw Eli as someone who she could use in the future and telling Mireil that Eli was alive would likely damage their relationship and could very well risk her trying to kill Eli a second time. So probably best to just try and keep that a secret.

OMG YOU WERE THE ONE WHO SPARKED THIS you will literally always be famous

the historic context of his full name including the king who attacked the arcadians, the pettiness of REFUSING to allow him even the slightest vestiges of affection… i owe you my life

I need it. Yes, being the bitter ex would be nice, but I’ll sacrifice it all to get to call Leon Leomar. It’s the angst. I live for the angst of this relationship between MC and Leon.

@lairiend
HOLY HELLFIRE! So, we WILL have the option to call Leon “Leomar” when we see him again? I’m so looking forward to the angst! Thanks for sharing that screenshot.

@Terin_Lost
And you are the one who enabled this? Thank you so much!

Ex-lover or ex-friend, the MC being able to treat Leon coldly and call him Leomar is something many of us will appreciate. Although I was hoping my MC could say something along the line of “The Leon I knew died long ago. You are but a murderous king who wears his face.” on top of calling him Leomar, because of what Leon said to the MC in the dungeon the night before the execution.

Anyway, love you so, so much. :heart:

@bored92

The author actually said that? Now I love Saine even more.

i don’t think it’s totally confirmed yet but it’s been taken under advisement! i have so loved book 2 so far but theres a definite lack of closure about how book 1 ends. i am waiting patiently for a chance to chew leon out about itall. until then :pray: :hand_with_index_finger_and_thumb_crossed:

here’s the full post from tumblr!

the saine part is definitely confirmed though there’s a killer side story on the patreon about it!

Ah, so it was from the author’s Tumblr page. And since the author has already planned for it in the upcoming book 3, it is very likely to come to pass. Just being able to call Leon “Leomar” is wonderful enough for me.

Too bad I’m not able to join Patreon to read side stories like that one. Are they Patreon exclusive? Are we not able to purchase them through other means?

Hm, yeah, would be nice to have a story DLC, like SoH does. Maybe after voting on the Patreon so the patrons would decide if they are okay with the author sharing their exclusive content like that if one wants to be really nice about it.

Does Ilya also have a side story?

Hello I’ve been playing book 2’s demo and was wondering how I unlock Saine’s scene. Any help would be very appreciated.

Stay at the inn instead of going to the festival, or get back there before the fireworks started.

Of course, you’ll have to go to the rooftop of the inn to meet Saine.
