Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven, Part 4 Public Beta - updated 7/27/2025, 910,000+ words

@JimD in a recent playthrough doing a hacker route i got to noticing something and it has me curious and i dont recall it being brought up.

Will we be going to that tower in part 4 that is mentioned in the stats as a node for the network?

I know we likely hitting up the church based on what we see in part 4 demo but seeing the tower listed made wonder which part we might be heading to it. Also side thought is tgat by chance where we will run into juliana if we are doing a hacker play through?

Onto a different bit lol what are the odds that we can get the junkyard mostly decked out with things before the end of part 4?

Into demo 4 kinda wish we had a way of getting closer to the stats of our mcs from the previous games so we can be truer to them when going through lol

Very much looking forward to seeing more in the future.

Out of all the paths teenager, hacker, and soldier are my favorites.

I’m pretty sure Juliana is just a long distant RO as a hacker maybe they might meet at the ending of game.

At some point, you will be going to all of the locations listed. It’s hard to plan out when, but I have always thought they would make great locations to scavenge and also to see the effects of the outbreak on places like hospitals, a news tower, etc.

I wish I could answer that, but I will have to say no comment

It’s likely that the group will build up the junkyard with quite a number of buildings and improvements. I’m going to add more in Part 4, and there’s another big change coming.

Got to thinking about sometbing else lol and at moment havent got the time to fully check but what do we need so that we can build the water collector?

Something else wanted to ask about but it will wait lol and vot more to look forward to

In Parts 1-3 (in 3 you need the workshop which is confusing), you need a tarp and a couple other things (rope and wood parts), which you should have lots of.

Thanks lol guess i should probally throw that one in first other wise its part 4 when i will get that up and running.

@JimD noticed something before but seeing it again got me curious when talking to red mambas at the tavern itd mentioned losing the fight at the museum. Yet we didnt lose or is it some sort of threshold that makes thelma say that?

That’s a bug and it sounds like it still hasn’t been fixed

I noticed a bug in the fight between the museum group, and RBMC. I shot Cruz, and he dropped his rifle, but as the fight went on it mentioned Cruz was firing at RBMC. I kind of think this might be the source of the bug Valixon mentioned. Just an idea.

Yeah, I reported that one when the game originally came out, and it’s really the only big bug during that sequence

Will we ever get more insight on what the “Wendigo” was? This has me really interested, especially with the science route. If it isnt a human, or an animal; then it has to be something with an infectious virus.

@Geralt @Sujan_Dhakal When is the last time that you saw the bug? I have a new version come out about two months ago that should have fixed the issue with Cruz and the other one with Thelma in the Cantina in chapter 12.

It’s very possible. I know I have to go back and add an option to take a blood sample of the Wendigo if it is killed.

I experienced the Cruz bug less than a month ago boss.

Got the museum bug as well where I made the museum group surrender but Thelma commented on it later as a loss. (Playing a current build on the game btw.) Also encountered a weird continuity error where I killed Natalie in the end of part 2 but she resurrected for a brief moment only to be killed again when I set off an explosive charge on the tower in the Silverthorne camp in part 3.

For something more relevant to part 4, I played with the Jillian prego storyline with Jillian and Gina as ROs and it felt a little weird when I couldn’t ask her to be a godmother for the kid and that she immediately jumped to co-parenting when I chose the top option regarding help raising the child. It could just be the MC saw how great she is with the nephew and trusts her regardless of the relationship status of MC, Jillian, and/or Gina.

Can we kill Kelly in part 2 or 3 ? How?

What happen if we kill Sheryl the owner shop in part 3?

Kelly can’t be killed up to this point. You can leave her with the Silverthornes depending on your choices.

Why the honest hell would you want to kill Kelly for in the first place? So what she makes the mistake of trusting the idiot Thornes but jesus… I swear people…

Do they need a reason? It’s obviously an option in the game for a lot of NPCs regardless of whether they deserve it or not (many of them don’t). Why be holier-than-thou about it?

Everyone has their favorite characters and least favorites, especially in a game like ZESH that has a large variety of group members, all of which can possibly be in the group at the same time. Sometimes your favorite character is the character that someone else either doesn’t recruit, kills off ASAP (sometimes this is the “not recruiting”), or specifically mistreats. And that’s okay.

Me, I was overjoyed that we could recruit Jude in part 3. I am also glad to see more Reilly development whenever possible (especially after Nora’s death). I am ambivalent about Bailey (she’s another pair of working hands, but to me she’s not much else. I don’t get her stans). I wish we got Kent, Ed, Harriet, Aris and Kate joining us at the end of Part 3 (if Laurel, Sharif and Ayanna joined Kent’s group and then the Junkyard Group that would be amazing, but I digress) instead of Allison, Augustus, Anders, Monica, and Missy. Some people share those opinions, and some people don’t. And that’s okay.
