Wordcount Tracker

Does anyone use a wordcount tracker? Any recommendations?

I’ve seen a few free ones online–free is good–but I don’t want to spend hours investigating them.

I have a target for V3 that I want to meet, and would like to measure my progress.

The easiest I could name would be simply using google docs.

I dunno how accurate it is though.

I use sublime text with wordcount installed, and a spreadsheet to record daily/weekly progress.

I use both wordcounter.net and draftin.com, which also stores documents and has auto-save.

I’ve used WriteTrack before, and it’s quite nice (and free): along with your overall wordcount goal and date to reach it, you can put in values for days you predict you’ll be able to write and days you won’t (0 for the day you have a doctor’s appointment and dinner out, 100 for the day that you set aside time specifically to write and will most likely meet 100% that daily goal). If there are any days that you miss (or unexpectedly get to write), the tracker adjusts the rest of the days/wordcount goals for you, changing according to your progress!
