I liked the fight, it dragged on in a good way, could feel the frustration haha

I believe you also made it so that talents are obtained via story events now? That’s more organic so I think I like that change too.
Mei is an enigma as usual. He Gang about to become an organ donor for his sis, his sacrificial nature brings a tear to my eye…
I think the POV options may be mistakenly enabled in this build:
*create povs_enabled true
so people are likely to get some crashes, since the actual content isn’t included ofc.
edit: also, it doesn’t seem that the acquired perks are listed anywhere in the game, now? Not in the meditations screen, not in the stats screen, just… missing.
edit2 wow, the Tiger Tattoo got nerfed into the fucking ground. Why does it still take 20 capacity when it now gives whole 6k to stats (2 x 3) instead of 20k it added previously (5 x 4), while maintaining the old penalty of capping your health at 6k? It’s not even half of what it was utility-wise, but will still effectively lock you out of taking anything but the lightest 10 capacity stuff.
… aaaand the game goes “fuck you” and wipes out the whole part of your stat that was above the innate cap. gg.
Perhaps the Raise Attribute screen should be checking if the attribute is already at (or past) the innate cap… because as it is, it allows you to effectively burn exp for no gain – even if you don’t have excess points in the attribute, but simple 5k/5k, you can still spend exp to Raise Attribute, have the exp deducted and get literally nothing in return for your expense.
Hey, just replayed the game after a year of abstinence. i have left the game with pure hatred of one particular guy.
He Gang is a damned dead man. On contact. Killed the two cousins I cared about. Poured acid on Ai. Beat the hell of and burned the Restaurant of my good friend. Die. He needs to die. Wipe the He Clan out. I don’t care anymore.
Also what’s up with tigress trying to kill a Xiantian? I’m expecting a very hard battle there.
Overall, I advocate for Wu first and Wu only. F the butterfly and F the Tangs.
Wu heir: “That day, I lost two of my dear cousins.”
Wu Dong: “Cousin…We’re still alive.”
Wu heir: “Sometimes, I can still hear their voices…”
One last ditch effort to save her stocks.
There’s no need to. The whole thing was just a needlessly elaborate trap on He Gang’s part. You’re told your cousins were just busy on another mission later.
Will we get to use our tourney token on the following tournament stages? We only need to reach top 10 to stay in the sect, so I was thinking it would be the most hilarious thing ever if we made it all the way to the finals: Only to face Tang Ruo and teleport out of the tournament, giving him the win.
“Yeah, I know I’ve been living rent free in your head for 3 years. You’ve been looking forward to this, but I kind of can’t be bothered. Good luck with the imminent rogue attack!”
I know it can't be that simple for us, but it's fun to think about.
If you’re going the Meimei route and decides to talk to her about it, she points out that the cousins are probably still alive - on account that if he had killed them, he would have made you watch. So small blessings, I guess. The guy still needs to die horribly, obviously.
Anyway, it’s been a while, but did a full demon playthrough to get back into things. Really liking most changes, and as always, really curious to see how this will go.
However. There is one thing that made the playthrough a living hell - and it was picking the perk allowing you to take an action right before taking damage. Which then triggers. Every. Single. Time. It’s annoying enough in a fight, especially in the few instances of an opponent multi-attacking you, meaning the game ask you for every single hit of that five-hit combo you’re currently tanking.
And then I went through the Stairs trial, and I knew hell. A confirmation needed for every single step. Bonus points if you ALSO have the ability to dodge incoming damage, for an extra confirmation needed (though at least you can waste those dodges early on to not have to deal with it).
And the kicker? I think the damage reduction talent was bugged, since instead of 8% damage reduction, I got 80%. Which meant I spent the whole playthrough being asked if I want to prevent this 1pt of damage incoming. Again, and again, and again.
You can actually increase the threshold for the prompts by going into the combat menu and changing the value for both the eyes one and evasive foot work
Hmm, i think i’ve got something new to whine about with the most recent mechanics change.
Since the perk points are now granted for each 2.5k in given attribute, and the Tiger tattoo no longer gives the 4k boost to attributes, the only way to get more than couple of perk points for a perk is to refine the stats in order to get to that 8-10k attribute range. Something the game expects you to do anyway by the time tournament rolls around and even earlier, with the attribute levels of enemies you get to face.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t mesh too well with the current arrangement of 1k attribute increase per refinement point, and 1 refinement from 5 gained qi. A basic math will show that to reach those levels you’ll need (6 x 5) 30 refinement points, i.e. 150 qi. This is when you gain something like 30-50 qi total from the whole game so far. Buying the remaining 100-120 qi worth of treasures is 500-600k gold, which is also obv. pretty unfeasible. And then you also have to remember that if you want to upgrade health, that’s further refinement points to spend.
Suggestion: consider either changing the way refinement points work, i.e. maybe spending one point raises the cap by 2.5k, to match how you gain perk points at the same intervals? Or grant refinement points for every 3 qi points gained, instead of 5.
