Why is everyone more worried about losing their hair than the fact that they’re now addicted to drugs whose production is firmly in the hands of a possible enemy? What happens if you want to switch to the rebels or the Yangs lose the ability to produce the drugs?

I’m not sure addictions count as poisons, for the purpose of vitality, and vitality doesn’t seem to help when mei mei is implied to try and addict you to her.
