Pretty sure they have some dragon-like transformation. So we probably still lose and they’re progressing at around the same rate as the MC if not faster.
Oh yea for sure if we’re talking mechanics wise most of our legit Mortal MCs are Peak Late Houtian(assuming you disregard the boost of Golden Seed)and BH stats were in the 5000-6000 which is very very early Peak Houtian.
Ig MC will truly be in the top 10 if he has stats in the 6.5k-8.5k like you said.
I was mostly referring to BH’s assessment about him having crossed PH soon tho tbh MC’s cultivation stage does not really follow PoMa’s guidelines anymore.
Not to mention some of the legendary traits MC can get. Automatically passing checks of a certain stat? Straight up resurrection in the middle of a fight?
If you’re willing to put in the time to reroll you can build a powerhouse straight from the get go.
They are not progressing at the same rate. We were in a coma for years and after a few months we are already at the level that a peak houtian would be.
Consider how they fed him a lot of stuff (elixirs, pills, potions, enhancers,…) when he was still a kid, that would obviously made him stronger, even PH. Remember the tourney before joining the sect? Yeah that’s about it. (also, artifacts and equipment aside, his innate abilities are still stronger than most others on the same level)
So basically, the stats are about like this:
Early: 1000
Middle: 3000
Late: 5000 - 7500 (this is our current level and most others of our generation, Ruo, Tigress, Ai)
Peak: 8000+ (BH was at his level before he got poisoned by Mei)
Near Xiantian: 10000 (lore wise and gameplay wise and not counting talents but stats alone)
Well, to be exact it goes:
human: 0-100
early-houtian: 100-1000
mid-houtian: 1000-2500
late-houtian: 2500-5000
peak-houtian: 5000-10000
Though generally characters you face in the game are in the late part of given range, close to breaking into the next stage. Also, since you seem to get a “free” attribute boost when advancing under normal rules, you’ll probably only see characters with their “attribute bars” already partially filled, so to speak.
BH’s strength comes in no small part from his combat experience and how lethal techniques he has at his disposal. His actual stats are:
*gosub_scene sbr enemy_stats 7432 7667 6593 6211 8985 "Peak"
(that last one is perception)
He doesn’t need to have maxed out stats to be a serious threat, and already meeting a maxed-out Peak Houtian would be quite a mistake from writing standpoint – i mean, it’d then mean the tournament would become relatively easier experience because there would be no room for stronger enemies, and MC would develop further in the meantime.
Also, this is largely “six of one and half a dozen of the other” – a Peak-Houtian who has maxed out 10k stats is “near Xiantian”… but they’re still “Peak-Houtian” just he same.
I think the Peak houtian part should be like 5000-8000, with those 8000+ being super strong like LC or BH since they are way ahead of their league.
Never thought BH would have such a high Charisma lol
i swear BH and his brother are cunning bastards, makes me think if the Liu and worse than the He or not, consider how the former tend to join the havoc sect while the latter are poisonous vipers, lurking in every single shadows. Both of them are as bad as each other tbh.
Nah, these are strength, agility, constitution, vitality and perception, in this order. Charisma doesn’t play part in the fights so it’s never defined, sadly.
Who is BH? Drawing a blank here.
Blood hunter
Blood Hunter, or also known as Liu Yutai, a Peak Houtian from Heavenly Havoc Sect that nearly defeated Long Chen in a 1v1 fight. He was faster, stronger, smarter and dominated the entire fight but still lost only due to Long Chen insane regeneration ability. We defeated him during a mei mei event.
The ‘blessings’ talent feel quite underpowered compared to the ‘innate’ talents to me. An epic level blessing reduces the relevant stat check by 15% while a rare level innate increases your effective exp by 25% on that stat.
For comparison, this means that a check with a base difficulty of 100 would need 85 points invested in the relevant stat if you had the epic level blessing talent alone, while if you had just the rare innate talent you’d only need 80.
The only scenarios I can see the blessings being better at all are if you’re relying heavily on talismans for that specific stat and for some reason you neglected it enough that you otherwise need 10+ talismans to pass a certain check, or if the check is high enough you can’t pass it with a filled out stat bar.
But qi reduces the likelyhood of the second outcome, and it doesn’t seem likely that someone with a blessing trait would choose to neglect its stat, unless they have a talent that makes a competing stat more lucrative.

Yeah, but at legendary all the checks except perception and charisma become impossible to fail at.
If your MC C̶ ̶h̶ ̶e̶ ̶a̶ ̶t̶ ̶s̶ is lucky at rolling talents, the game eventually becomes Story mode without the insane damage reduction.
I don’t think “the talent is better than its counterpart if it’s two ranks higher” is a good rebuttal to “the talent is worse than the counterpart when it’s one rank higher” esp when factoring the difference in the odds for rolling the different ranks
Ok, fair.
Beside, both of them aren’t as bad as rolling a trash talent.
How d’yall feel about the fact that the Rogues know about Qi and Dao?
