Is there anyway to survive mei or not to be put into her prison that the main character escapes from at the end of the demo?
If your character is a dude with high enough standing with Mei, he can convince her to cooperate (it also means entering her romance route)
If your MC is a woman then they’re screwed, prison (and potential escape) is only way they get.
(well, short of save editing sorcery, but that’s another story)

If you don’t beat the blood hunter or you don’t trigger the event at all your relationship with mei remains the same I think.

What bug?
No being able to re-roll talents is the trade-off for playing story mode.
Story mode provides you with fixed set of high grade talents, which is why the options to pick and reroll them are disabled. If that’s what’s troubling you.
You need either regeneration talent to fight the poison on your own (needs 800+ vitality iirc),
or accept Mei Mei’s offer to help,
or get the expensive pill from Ma Rin.
or get thoroughly examined at the infirmary and choose to buy a remedy.
or don’t get poisoned in the first place – if gifts from random people seem too good to be true, that’s usually because they are.

Hmm seems there’s another glitch in the auction script:

The bidders slow down at forty thousand and almost disappear at forty-five: when you place a bet of 50,000, no one retorts.

There’s only path for competing against Jing. But there’s no else for alternative, and if the conditions for Jing aren’t met you never get the talisman for that 40k you’d pay normally. The game simply proceeds to the next item without deducting your money and without adding the talisman to your purchases.
Also, the option says 40k but the lowest bid you place is 50k.

i might be tweaking but i think i remember from this forum that you can get adopted by the demon queen or something. is this true? and if it is, how can it be achieved?

I wonder if in a future update after the auction there will be an event when someone tries to kill us and when we beat them we get an item we didn’t buy from the auction for free
