(WIP) Path of Martial Arts: The Beginning (Dark, Eastern Fantasy | 750k words)

Oh I know this clothes, the main evil clan in Mo dao zu shi/grandmaster of demonic cultivation, the wen clan wear this

The anime was one of the reasons how I got into loving games surrounding the Jianghu and martial artist with various paths and motivation, the other reasons was the tale of immortal and path of wuxia :joy::joy::joy:

I think devil break is just a innate nature, like look at the mc who have many reasons to be angry but is just bottling it up or letting it out for any time it is possible and out of all the people we have seen so far pang Bo is the one who doesn’t like to inflict pain on others but had no choice because he was born into it and was tortured for his unwillingness to fulfill the role, his mother set for him, and this beg the question why him, a innocent soul becoming a devil break and out of all requirement for devil break, he has none but still got it and then we have Tang ruo who so brutalize two people for no reason, only that they were seen as inferior or a nuisance to him and decided to take his lovely time beating the crap out of them for his own amusement or boredom and after everything I truly believe devil break just affect anyone who has a affinity or a hidden dark side to receive it

Pang Bo stated that the Devil forms when all of your negative emotions or darkest desires become so strong that they form an alter ego of their own which takes the form of a Devil breakout. So if you don’t properly control your emotions or your violent urges then that’s what leads to a breakout.

Pang Bo was always plagued by these negative emotions constantly cause of the what the Demon Queen out him through and it reached it’s breaking point when killed his sister both giving into a violent urge and causing an immense amount of grief.

That is it again, control and this how me and so others were arguing about devil breakout but still didn’t reach any conclusion and if control is the key, then what will u describe Tang ruo who will butcher anyone who defies him because he can

Edit: Also take into consideration the amount of people who have tried to kill the MC for little to no reason, Yun Ge, He Jin, Mei Mei, Long Chen (if you piss him off), compare to them tang Ruo is very composed lol

Tang Ruo isn’t that bad to me really in the Grand scheme of things he controls himself and remains composed throughout the story despite the MC provoking him several times. (Insulting his clan, attacking him in the training grounds etc) even during our fight when he realized he was without a doubt stronger than us he tried to convince us to simply forfeit, and despite his strength we haven’t seen him kill anyone, the Jing fight was brutal but ultimately he did to prove his own strength to himself and the world. Basically he always been shown to to be content to let by Gomes be bygones as long as you don’t challenge him, or if you prove your strong enough to be a challenge for him.

Ok I literally given up, to be honest the problem is not devil breakout but is the options, how can u tell me there is just one way to kill someone based on our entrance and which is to mercilessly beat up someone into death by choosing to walk up to the camp and then give us the least bloodiest path through assassinating the leader by not interacting with the first member we see, in that quest about bandits

How on earth is crippling people on purpose not bad, bruh the fight with the jing clan went to far, that doesn’t even cover it and now Tang ruo is threatening the whole clan, for no reason that comes to the mind, only doing it as a message to everyone that this is how his leadership will be when he takes charge

Welcome to the jianghu lol where the weak submit to the strong lol. I mean Yang bohai first thought after we disrespected him was to kill us and our clan. The sect master threatens to annihilate the clan of anyone who breaks the sects rules.

He had to show his power and potential because the Tang clan has only two shangtians right now, Gramps is getting old, and people are now starting to think that the imperial family is getting weaker.

“Wen di foofool badmind people try tuh challenge yu, Yu haffi show dem yu a di tap a di tap”

Huh, I thought it was only Nigerians like me that sometimes speak pigeon but I guess it pretty common and ok u make a good point but him threatening the clan obviously in charge of the economy or knows how to make the economy prosper is not a good way to make allies as a future ruler

I dunno if he targeted that Jing dude because his family is pretty rich, Ruo just probably went “That guy’s pretty high up in the rankings Imma go challenge him. He’s also probably pretty strong so I’ll let him beat me up for a bit then I’ll use the humiliation I feel about the fact a worthless idiot from a minor clan like him is stronger than me the mothafuckin imperial prince as fuel to level up to houtian 2 and show those idiots in the crowd that the heir to the empire (Me who is cool af and better than everyone in my humble opinion) cannot be trifled with”.

How do the rest of y’all feel about loyalty towards the Imperial Family. I’ve seen some people express the idea about claiming independence for the Wu Clan as their end gane goal but me personally I don’t really feel a need to do something so drastic. The imperial family seems pretty lenient and protective of the great nine clans. At least lenient to allow the head of the Wh Clan to descend into debauvhery for the last century or so. I haven’t seen any reason to why we shouldn’t remain loyal to them

My MC’s goal is to become the strongest martial artist in the world. If there is anyone strong enough to impose his will on him, then they must be met head on and overcome, whether it’s the Dragon Taming Emperor or Tang Ruo.

His goal is to become the strongest and that means beating the strongest. If an empire has to fall for that to happen then that’s what he’ll do.

Though the repercussions of such a thing might lead to a warring states period and that’s not what he wants. He’ll probably beat whoever is emperor by the time he’s Shiangtian then demand a bunch of reforms in exchange for supporting the Tang then bugger off to train the future Wu clan members.

dont care much for the imperial family. my main goal is to restore the wu clan to greatness. I can see achieving this both through independence and staying under the imperial throne.

If they try to stop my MC from reclaiming his clan’s greatness then yeah he’ll beat them into submission once he’s strong enough. Otherwise, he’s pretty chill with them. They’ve kept the peace for a couple thousand years now so why should he break that and plunge the realm into war and needless conflict.

My boy has qualms about the treatment of commoners but that can be fixed by sending a simple “Ayo bro don’t you think the commoners and peasants would be more loyal if they were treated NOT badly?” to his homie future emperor Ruo once they’re both at the peak of the martial world.

So quick question … Is there any chance for the MC to become Yang Bohai’s disciple without killing Pan Po ? … I like the old man but I’m not keen on becoming the Demon Queen target ( at least not with the current level of power) .

Not sure about the Tang I mean my MC could make an alliance with them once she reaches Shiangtian … She wants to be the strongest martial artist, and it’s impossible to do that without having a strong allies … She is definitely killing all of the He clan though …

I am not even loyal to my own clan.
