Totally! It might not fit the vibe of Wuxia/Xianxia, but one thing that I love doing with my MCs is being the “sole beacon of hope in a grimdark world” trope. With my main character in the game, I’m basically going the “no matter how hard the world tries to ruin me, I’ll keep helping others and being kind simply because it’s right”. Specially after Ai pulled a Xue, if possible, I want my character to go the route of saving her without having to pledge allegiance to anyone, and without going the Tang Wei route either, just pure willpower, determination, and the drive to move Heaven and Earth for my objectives without harming the innocent for it.

Is there even a way to save her? The only way I’ve seen is if you join the rebels, and excuse me, but I don’t trust that giant butterfly. It gives me Alexia from Resident Evil vibes. I feel like that path will ultimately end with reviving Ai as some kind of soulless puppet under her control, with her coming back to life but without any memory of the protagonist, and that butterfly will end up turning her into some kind of cultist. Or maybe it will revive her but change her personality, maybe to make her more evil, maybe to make her more submissive. Either way, if you’re a good protagonist, something tells me it’s a terrible idea to trust that thing to revive Ai. An evil protagonist would surely love for Ai to become more evil or obedient, but a good one? I doubt it. ¿Is there anyone else who would offer to revive her if you’re not on the side of the rebels? I think maybe it would be best to just let her rest in peace; trying to bring someone back to life never ends well in any story I’ve ever seen.

Absolutely. For me, there’s only two paths to saving Ai: I do it myself, or the Moon Goddess helps me without me having to swear allegiance to her. Lady Butterfly is way off my options, not even my evil protagonists would trust or serve her, not just because she is shady af, but because my evil protagonists would not submit to anyone unless they would die.

The fruit gives you Dao xp and increases the level of your dao, I think
And as for the Moon Goddess, not yet I think, unless you do what the guys said above which I haven’t tried as basically none of my characters ever have 100% in a personality stat. However, Fang Yuan (I think that’s his name, the very rude guy who throws his feet on your table (HE IS COURTING DEATH!!!) says that she could easily do that for you if you throw your allegiance to Lady Butterfly to serve the Moon Goddess and help him instead.

Fan Yuan will have to learn manners and be friendly without you lower yourself to lady butterfly.
Ladybutterfly will follow you like in she follow your real father.

Man…was zooming through a playthrough to try and get to where you become an actual cultivator. Wasn’t paying attention, saved at a point. Didn’t remember that I took the bomb, forgot to use it, saved when picking one of the colored stones.
That save now no matter what choice is death. Wasted all that time, save is now useless. FeelsBadMan
