WIP Grey Swan - Birds of a Rose Update 26.04.25 total 200k

A question across all of these…when it comes to choice of favourite colour, there are the same five choices everytime/where. Is there some meaning to that?

I could in german but that will not be helpful lol

but maybe it can still work in the same way it does now… idk how to word that, we will see once i rewrite that scene

I am sorry I dont understand that. is there a loop?

Same with me and Finnish.

What if you delayed the Droznik-friendship-level-choice? Would the interactions be more difficult to write?

No, it’s just that in the various games the choices when it comes to that question are always the same colours. I was wondering if there was a reason for it, as you have said that the games all are connected.

Oh nice! always wanted to go to finland!

not really, but Droznik is the first RO you are meeting in game and their “trope” is that of a childhood friend, so I am not sure how to get that across in a different way

Thank god I was fearing the worst

No I just pick them because they are pretty much standard “what are your fav colours” colours (sry for any yellow lovers out there)

Yep, that’d be me. But also I noticed that the Divine Flock has a lot of green going through the uniforms in each of the stories and that’s the centrally located choice.

I will try and add yellow in the next update

That is intentional! (and i am so ashamed but i cant remember the divine flock and green?) The Wing in Hawks and Doves is associated with green, did you mean that?

The uniforms in Hawks and Doves were different shades of green as the PC grew, and I think the flags were mentioned as being green in the scene where the different (Divine Flock and Night Court) flags were mentioned before the PC went to the Aviary for their testing. The reoccurring connection (possibly only in my head) of the Divine Flock with the colour green was probably what first started me wondering if the favourite colour choices had some meaning that would be revealed later in the stories, partially as it isn’t there in Wisteria Birds.

Interesting thought and in a way its correct: the colours of the Divine Flock in 21st century are black, gold and blue, which will later turn into the flag of the Night Court. However during Hawks and Doves green and ivory/cream/idk just not white are what is used for the Wing only, which can totally have their origin in the young pupils of the Avis Academy but I am going to leave that vague.

(Its just a colour combination I really like, and rn I am also thinking about changing it but idk)

And the fav colour has zero connection to it I am sorry to say, its really just there for flavour text!

Ah, okay. Likely just my brain looking at these and saying “oh look, a pattern!”

Tiny tiny update before I am off to work:
Changed a scene, added the new RO!

Chase’s route seems broken when the wing confronts him about the book after the first day is over returning an error: chaseroute line 387: non-existant variable ‘geisselnarben’
And fuchsia’s route breaks before the wing returns from the evening prayer with error: fuchsiaroute line 248: increasing indent not allowed, expected 1 not 2
Both errors effectively break the game and block the reader from leaving that screen.
Other than that its a good story. 10/10 would read again. Though i must ask if the back tattoo is mandatory and what its there for… Does EVERYONE have one or is it specially earned somehow?

Both have been fixed now!

this, copied straight from the game, should answer your question:

Summary

#The tattoo on your back is a sign that every member of the Divine Flock dreams about, being allowed of having angels and parts of the Divine Feather on your skin.

One who is well read in this subject can tell anything about you from glancing at it. The position of the angels, the wings and their feathers, what symbols are being shown, the colours, all tell about your family, in which Flock you were born and so on.

tldr: its a flex of founding families, and a status symbol (so no, mc also didnt really have a choice, it was forced in a way that made even mc believe it had been their choice)

Who decide what sin is punished by what punishment. Is there a handbook or do Ravens just think up something as they go?
Happy Christmas everyone. :christmas_tree:

The Ceres (second highest in power at the Avis Academy, but they are not like teachers or that) decide the punishment and they can pretty much do what they like! If they like someone the punishment might not be harsh at all, but if they really dont like you? You might end up dead as a result…

To you as well!
I will still try and get some writing done

Changed the code a bit, so now hopefully everything is working (if there is a part that seems just weirdly cut off, let me know! There should be something.)
Also added a bit (just normal stuff like killing a person).
