My point…was to point out that even if the MC look normal and have emotions and depression and stuff . Was that society wouldn’t accept them , because of their origins . And they still be hunted still .

I don’t agree about the regen though . I don’t think it’s just them being too long a victim . I mean it’s possible…and that kinda make it even worse…cose…what hell they have gone trough that made them feel like an empty husk right ? Brrr…don’t wanna think about it too much . But you are right when you say ‘‘Just cose you escaped hell…it doesnt mean you didnt take some of it with you…cose its there…inside…still’’ .

I think The Farm might be like Manticore from Dark Angel.
Growing test tube child soldiers dehumanizing them, I don’t want to go as far as implying sexual abuse because I imagine that in the eyes of the farm that be like molesting a piglet or a calf. That to The Farm Staff sexual activity with a Regene is beastiality. But growing up like that no wonder the MC is so screwed up.

Its all a lie…and the self identity seem to get erased…because the person doesn’t know anymore…who they are…what they are and where they belong .

I wonder which update will the WIP recognize Sidestep and Anathema as Special names.
I think a big part of why the Re-Genes seem emotionless can be explained by something we see the MC do multiple times in the first game alone - disassociation. And while I’m not entirely sure how Malin will deal with their situation - because I get the feeling any truths behind the Re-Gene Project will be revealed publically at the climax of this game - I trust in their writing ability a lot and I feel like just giving up on them because they’ve been abused for too long wouldn’t mesh well with the rest of the story.
And fair enough about distrusting the rest of them, but I think Steel will surprise us a lot. He’s already revealed that he searched for the MC after being told by the government they were dead - I think he’s a lot more skeptical of what the government’s involved in than we’re aware (especially since he seems to be well-aware of Ortega’s situation wrt his modifications). Herald is very dedicated to being a Hero™, so I think there’s no way he wouldn’t realise, after the initial shock/surprise, that the MC is very much the victim of the government in this. And the public… well, you can choose to court their opinion, and I can see a situation where the popularity of both Sidestep and villain!MC becomes relevant in the public’s reaction to the truth of the Re-Gene Project.
And tbh I brought up Argent because I think she probably would understand the MC’s situation a lot more than we think. The part about “seeing sharks” in her head in the first game made me think of that scene where kid!MC pressed their face up against a tank or something in the Farm to make scary faces. Also, I know of at least one example of where a character who grew up in a test tube ended up ok - Prompto in FFXV, who also has a literal barcode embedded in his skin. And those are all characters (as far as I’m aware) who weren’t 100% aware of their circumstances from the start (like Sephiroth), whereas as far as I can tell the MC has been. If anything, the only groundbreaking realisation the MC might have (or have had) is that they deserve to be treated as a person.

Maybe even implant or chip to make sure they obey ? after all…when they are on the field…where the ‘normal’ peoples are…there must some save guard somewhere they don’t run off…or go berserk right ? .

I know Steel look for the mc , homewhever…what I distrust , is the fact he is still military . Even if he know…will he still act on what he know , knowing damn well his world won’t be the same ? or would he do something that go against everything he was raised…trained to be ? See…thats what I mean . And on that front…I’m inclined that once a military…always a military . After all…he may have empathy and care toward the mc…but would that be enough to throw everything away ? I can say yes 100% for Ortega . But Steel ? not so sure…

If anything , I think Lady argent could be the one who share something with the mc…when it come to ‘horrible back story’’ .

And my MC, well since he is a telepath and is spying on the Ranger… oh dear, you don’t think my MC is a more sensible Warren right??
But just like Warren… i think my MC continue to “care” for Lady Argent in a unique way just because i love her… does it makes any sense .Lol
But Argent is as rebellious as Chloe , so Warren and Chloe a good couple ?
Shark is an extinctive creature these days, because filthy humans hunt them for food… and they need our protection… so i won’t blame Argent for her inner feeling that she is a shark that being hunt and bully, Argent definitely need our hug :-)

Maybe the sharks we see are made by ourselves and our subconscious fear of them, whenever we are afraid of her and messing with her mind we see them.
I’m not sure this is why though, but it would make sense with the flashback of kid mc with sharks and lady argent’s sharks as a connection I guess.
@Eric_knight It seems you are going for an Argent route just like me, first Lilith and now Argent, we may just be some low key masochists, always going for the slightly crazy route where someone wants to kill/harm us lol.

We would know if she was controlled by someone else. When we’re in head we didn’t feel another telepath in there, so that all her. It’s most likely she was experimented on and those and her powers are the result. Probably by the Farm or someone else, which is what we have in common with her.
