My MC’s disdain for Herald is quickly going into a personal grudge for asking about Heartbreak or mentioning their entire nauseating career as “Sidestep”.
For my MC, the hero worship isn’t flattering. In the slightest. It’s yet another identity that wasn’t truly their own. It just feels so wrong to them to be admired as a “hero” when they feel like a despicable abomination in the guise of a human being. And triggering their PTSD too…
And the touching, by God, the touching. He’ll get much worse than a limp next time.
True that! I kinda forgot that MC can get the jump jets there (which was stupid of me since I even opted for the enhancement smh). But I guess the fact they have the armour on could make them believe they’re fearless/invincible vs having no armour and being sort of vulnerable if you get what I’m trying to say
Nah as satisfying as that would be (and that’s pretty damn satisfying) imagine the satisfaction of reveling to him that his hero is the one who gave him that limp and than vocalizing your distaste for him in the colorful way possible. Not my plan personally but it seems more personal than just offing him right away
Aww…my mc found the clinging to him while flying bit surprisingly nice, but yeah it was still uninvited but that clinging bit sort of made up for this. Next time Herald tries that stunt my mc will simply make good on his threat to punch him and he’ll be sporting a black eye for a bit.
This is troublesome, but the kid didn’t know and beating him senseless last time didn’t make my mc feel nearly as good as he had hoped…though the lingering effect that effectively marks Herald as his was a surprisingly satisfying though unintended side effect. From now on though he’ll use subtler means to toy with Herald.
I guess the only beating that will make my mc feel really good now would be beating the truth out of the current US President on live television or something like that.
Aww…you meanie! Though my mc is planning the same thing for Lady Argent now, while in the short term her clumsy flirting might provide yet another way to toy with Herald in the long run it is cumbersome and very dangerous because she is also the most dangerous superhero by far that we have met in our new villainous career thus far.
I’m so sad that with final exams coming up and final projects being due soon I won’t have to sit and properly review, but I saw the update and just wanted to say that I’m super excited for what’s to come!
Good job to everyone who can/has reviewed and amazing work to Malin
You are kind of wasted here malin. Not that im complaining mind you.
Also hypothetical question which im using to get a bit of closer grip on Ortega character.
I know there has been talk about possibility of Making Puppet president of Villain Fanclub,
now if it were to make it into the game, And we had situation vith Ortega being Villain nemesis, Ortega dating puppet, and Puppet telling Ortega that she is doing it to infiltrate and get close to Villains plan to help Ortega. How guilty would Ortega feel ? Would he shrug it of and warned Puppet to be carefull ? or would he blame himself for getting obsessed with Villain ? or perhaps he would just forbid puppet to do this ?
Jealousy: He’s our replacement and unlike the MC he’s dreamy, they have a stable relationship with Ortega, he’s rich, he’s likable and trustworthy, he doesn’t have crippling emotional problems and identity issues that prevent him from being a good person and he can fly. He is literally everything my MC wanted to but couldn’t be during their “Sidestep” phase.
Also obliviously crossing so many boundaries and being so damn triggering in the last encounter with him.
His entire personality is full of sickening, puppy-like innocence. It’s like a young, excitable puppy meeting a cynical, depressed cat.
