how long is a mission supposed to last in this? Cause if I’m understanding how characters work, it seems like there’s a serious problem if missions are meant to last more than 1 session, that being if a character dies they’re potentially gonna have to sit out entire sessions.
Also more generally, giving an idea of how long both individual missions and campaigns are supposed to last would probably be a good idea. Especially cause this system seems pretty geared towards low total session counts and not prolonged campaigns.
(also, sorry if there’s somewhere better to send this kind of feedback, I would’ve but it on the itch page, but it doesn’t seem to have comments enabled)

Taking some cues from @HarrisPS, I’ve also created an anonymous feedback form, which is something I’ve been meaning to do for a while but kept putting off.

P.S. A lot of the variation in this one comes from A) your ā€˜closest Altruist’ and B) your state after the Zone mission. If you wanna see lots of differences, I recommend making a save during the skipping process when it starts asking Zone questions. That way you can go back and tweak things to see different CH7s :).

the sessions are meant to be short and not that long! i kinda viewed it as an easy to access party-ish type of game.

it isn’t geared toward long term :slight_smile: technically it can be modified to fit that if someone would like (i might create a module that goes: if you want to play this long term, do this and this), but typically missions might look something like this:

AHHHH, when do you think the Elizabeth romance will continue/start? It’s maybe one of the most if not the most compelling romance options I have seen in a game. I don’t usually comment on forums but wow I am IN LOVE with this story and really really can not wait for more updates

Done, hopefully my feedback can be useful.

One thing I forgot to add is it would make for a neat moment if we could ignite, even if just to have some small secondary ability, just to have something that’s ours instead of a mockery of what our friend had or something given to us by the Coven.

Yeah, it was lots more than author expected on wishing/pining for previous romance options.

Two of them are ā€˜nerds’ right along with me, according to one. The gamer types are missing from the new ones so far. I haven’t gone through the finished part of latest mission yet. I plan to.

Your definitely not alone on pining after previous ones. Beth included. One of mine is thoroughly deaded, the other questionable missing.

Yeah that would definitely be really cool, but I feel like it would definitely have to be earned. Like I think the way I’d want to see that is something like; You have make the right series of choices throughout the game, and if you do, then you get to ignite during a big climactic moment or something.

Some bug commentary/things relating to some questions and comments from the survey:

  • The shipping container option shouldn’t break any more.

  • Should correctly recognise whether you’re at the container or back at base when transitioning to the Masquerade briefing.

  • Dialogue option for needling at Management’s insecurities should work now (I had a dodgy indent)

  • Dream!Grant should now refer to you with the appropriate playful nickname.

  • I’m trying to pace/properly smooth out the various romances so that they don’t have such disparate starting points, but it’s a work in progress.

  • I intend the conversation with Kay regarding identity to be available more than once, so not missable due to getting messed up.

  • There’s two possible Alistair phonecalls so far!

  • It’s a challenge for me to add more (claimed) motives; it impacts a lot of code and turns one of Dion’s conversations into even more of a hydra.

Also, now that it’s been a couple days… which of y’all ended up meeting Lullaby this chapter?
