From what others have said it’s a conditional scene dependent on a high relationship status which explains why I’ve never seen it. Never been a fan of bubbly characters so I stuck with W for the most part.

A lovely fan made this rendition of Kay, which I consider a great interpretation of her horns.
Her gender identity is something I wanted to come up during play rather than prelabelling.
It comes up after the Zone if you have a decent relationship with her, didn’t try to ditch her and Teddie while escaping, and aren’t incapacitated.
The scene is going to have a couple of opportunities to recur, including in chapter 8, which I’m currently working on. (it might get some mild changes to accommodate for some reader feedback, mostly around Teddie’s presence if you’re also trans and possibly an option to just go ‘Oh okay, cool’)

Aha, well that explains that!
I wouldn’t mind this, as this was more or less my actual, real life response when I realized what was going on in that scene, though I’d survive if it never made it in.
She immediately triggered the older sibling in me, so I adore her but I don’t know if I’ll end up romancing her (my MCs don’t always romance the characters that make me feel like that - it can be hard to set those personal feelings aside for the story).

What constitutes ditching? Because I try to lead Surpass away from them and don’t tend to get that scene as often anymore. Is it that, or is it probably something else?
Isn’t the ditching before Surpass? I need to get caught up as didn’t do the Surpass fight yet.
It’s choosing to climb up the chasm wall by yourself with the obviously selfish option.

Huh, I don’t recall if I’ve gotten that scene either. We jumped up and then I got beaten really bad by Surpass; does the medical scene also block the Kay scene?

I carried them up. Tried. They ended up helping part way.
Ah. So that’s not it. I wonder what I’ve stopped doing that keeps me from getting that scene anymore.

Yep, if you end up getting hauled out of there by your team, that’s considered incapacitated.
Dunno! It might be that the relationship values are a bit too punishing and don’t increase enough - some players have been able to get rels fairly high but I do often see folks in screenshot hovering at mid-low range.
The threshold for the Kay scene is 40%.
