@izzily Would it be possible to add one more Specialization thatās agility and stealth based? I thought of picking Armored Carapace for that but the added weight would mess up a stealth build. Would also be nice if that Specialization comes with even more tendrils or where the tendrils acts more like tails in a way. These are what Iām imagining as an example for a Agility/Stealth type Specialization. It could even be more animalistic in a way similar to Four-Tailed Naruto.

I thought the nodes would be more stealth maybe later in the game will gain more control and be able to use them to do things .
I think the fact that weāre literally vomiting them out very loudly is not stealthy and these nodes have very basic instinct. ābiteā, ākillā, āpreyā, āeatā. Even trying to give them precise commands either doesnāt work cause of how wild and simple they are or it barely works. Theyāre more of a pet option like the Master Mind Archetype from CoH.
Well we do get to choose if weāre stealthy in a way or not ,even after choosing our specialization. (Subterfuge) (Methodical options). The nodes may work against that though, idk, I havenāt tried them. The idea of vomiting up your power mid fight is hilariously embarrassing to even think about.
Or what about Mutation? You donāt think that fits what youāre wanting? I felt like Mutation showed a good amount of both Stealth, Agility and strength. Especially depending on how you choose to use it. Plus, MC has a little more control over the tendrils.
Have you tried mutation yet? If you had, does that sounds like something meant for stealth? Also, your giving in to a more primal instinct in order to make use of that. If our form had changed to a more animalistic form like a wolf or panther then I could see it working for that but since weāre turning into something like this-
I canāt see us being made for stealth in a form similar to this.

Unfortunately I have no plans to add more specialisations! Itād be a kind of phenomenal amount of work even this early on due to the extra branching and re-coding Iād need to do (and would disrupt the symmetry of three styles, three specialities). Iād prefer to focus my energies on advancing the story.
That said, I intend the subterfuge skill to allow for a number of stealth strategies, and the powerset can be used in an agile manner, per a couple of the power wielder segments:
Youāve developed an excellent understanding of your strengths and limitations, and you donāt even have to think about it as you flit around the room, balancing, bracing, and boosting with your tendrils to move swiftly and remain several steps ahead of Arcadeās lasers. You move unpredictably, racing in one direction only to instantly change course with a simple flick of the extra appendages.
Using both tendrils you push off the floor, launching yourself high into the air. So high, in fact, that you reach the level of the balustrade you first leapt from. You promptly latch onto it, using your tendrils to start crawling upside down along the lower levelās ceiling.
RE: the nodes, they arenāt inherently a loud/aggressive option, though theyāre certainly unruly. The circumstances were just such that MC had to use them as a panic button in the middle of a fight.
Well Iād say yes. Because I got a two or three options to be subtle/Stealthy when using mutation. Even at the beginning The heroes didnāt even notice MC was there at first.
Then, you also said agility. MC did a whole acrobatic act at one point and moves pretty quickly and seems precise. So I thought maybe, mutation would fit a little of what you were looking for if you hadnāt tried it. Lol but Nevermind, seems you tried that and it still wasnāt to your liking. Sorry.
Last thing I could recommend is foregoing a superpowerd specialization and choose Hand to Hand combat, with a Subterfuge MC. Then your MC can potentially be as stealthy and agile or strong as you want, though again, I havenāt tried that one so iām not sure. Plus it seems you specifically want another power so- you can ignore this recommendation as a whole if thatās the case.
Would it be a Guts check to determine if the MC can silently yak up a couple nodes in the middle of a high-stakes stealth mission?
Hand to Hand combat has your MC knowing Martial Arts. That female hero next to Arcade, Enfilade, mentioned your fighting style as Muay Thai.
I like Mutation, kinda remind me of Alucard in Hellsing.
Subterfuge more than likely Lol (correct me if Iām wrong writer), I think Guts is more so your strength and all around physical capability. Also, I personally think Guts would be best for an MC who doesnāt care about being silent and just wants to go straight in- using brute force.
But subterfuge is your subtleness. I believe itās Usually best for MCs with a knack of being quiet, stealthy and all around good at keeping things lowkey. (again, the creator can correct me if iām wrong though). Iād also match this with a Methodical MC, because theyāll take the time to be more careful when doing things.
Also, lmao, yāall have me really curious about the Nodes, but idk, I donāt think Iād being able to get through the game, due to second hand embarrassment. But it also sounds funny.

Now that you mention it, our MC is more like Alucard from Hellsing Ultimate considering all the abilities they are capable of. Especially when you factor in powers like Wild Mutations and Nodes.
Subterfuge also involves stuffs like locking and deception too.
