Because its a tv show? You do realize that everything that happens in tv shows isn’t real right? All the stuff about Lucifer and God in the TV show is all made up so they could add lore barely anything that is in the TV show is actually true to what the Bible says think of the TV show as a fanfic because it didn’t create Christianity it just made a superhero like show about the Devil

The Bible actually has very little to say about Lucifer or Satan. The snake in the garden is not represented as anything other than a snake in that story and is punished by God to lick the dirt of the earth, why else would snakes stick out their tongue? In the biblical book of Job he’s presented as more of a prosecuting attorney trying to convince God of man’s inherent wickedness. The new testament has him playing a similar role tempting Jesus at Gethsemane. It’s not until Revelations that he has much of a villain turn, and the book is so heavy in allegory and symbolism its hard to know what was ment literally, and its inclusion in the Bible was a somewhat controversial. During the reformation in his 1522 Preface to the Revelation of Saint John , Luther said: “My spirit cannot accommodate itself to this book. For me this is reason not to think highly of it: Christ is neither taught nor known in it.”

My personal opinion of Lucifer is that he is a hold over trickster god from the polytheistic precursors of Judaism. Naturally devout Jews or Christians would most likely disagree, but the idea of a trickster god being so tricky they survived their religion going monotheistic makes me smile.

i am not gonna get in a argument because that ended up badly for me last time so let’s just leave it at different views but one hing i not backing down on is his age since the bible dousnt say how old Lucifer actually is were as in the Tv program show lucifer it actually douse tell you his mortal age before he became immortal when he stopt aging.

Loki is a perfect example of what a trickster god looks like. Most mythologies and religions have some form of deceptive or untrustworthy deity that counters their main ethos. Loki counters nordic ideas of strength, Set counters Egyptian ideas of agriculture and settlement, Lucifer counters a forgiving christian God etc. This is of course a horribly simplified description since I don’t want to derail the thread.

Okay lets not get in an argument but I do just want to say that DrDense isn’t going with the age that the bible or anything religious says but with how old the religion is

It would be weird
if Lucifer was a few bilion years old.

It would be cool

I mean if there is such a conflict about age just don’t follow the source strictly, make every immortal being million years old instead, make up some story about meeting early humans or something, make up your own lore.

not realy since as i explained to watermelon1 The Devil is one of the few beings that were created first when the universe came into existence.

Technically half of the fables were there when the universe was made and as we can see DrDense made their age be about the age of the religion they are affiliated with

Question, Dear Author: would you perhaps consider Merlin or perhaps Lugh? Lugh would be an epic character to portray here. Him being a man turned into a sun god strictly because of his mastery of all trades

When I’m writing a new fable, I try to turn them into playable people. None of the MCs are omnipresent forces of nature; although they get close, they are just extraordinary humans(ish). Lucifer and the characters in his story will be the same, ‘God’ will be an actual person you talk to, not just some omniscient figure floating over your head. His augment just allows him to act as a godly figure. And for my interpretation, he will not be the creator of the universe. It just feels presumptuous to me to have a human character be the maker of everything since humans haven’t been around forever. I applied this same logic to the rest of the fables.

Tiamat was originally going to be one of them. However, in my short draft, I had trouble turning her into a human equivalent, so she got scrapped and replaced by Ishtar.

Yep, I agree. I am trying to include as many things from the fables cannons as possible but at the end of the day if i think it will be a more fun interpretation…

I love how I started this story with Excalibur, saw the option to predict when Kaizo would die, and immediately switched to Janus.

o.o uh i don’t think satan/lucifer is the creator of the universe i believe his farther created the universe well he doesn’t really have a name since hes omnipotent/all powerful and unseen and i not shour but he might of created lucifer since he has the power to create humans like adam and eve i cant remember but i think they were teh first humans
