Does anyone know if there’s a way to defeat Grim without being Akakiru?
My main suggestion is going with 4 or so months left so you’ve gained as much AP as possible. (Though you need 4 or more, so be careful).

When absorbing the sabretooth treasure with alchemy, you only get 20 AP.

The soul treasure that you can steal when you pass the alchemy check you only get like 100 out of 800 is that supposed to happen

Yes, that’s relatively high gains too, an Advancement Elixir only gives you a fraction of the Soul Treasure’s power. I’ll add that description into the process

Alright thought I’d check but have you considered making it so you gain more with more alchemy
Yep, you currently gain 10% of the difference between the Soul Treasure’s AP and your AP, minimum 20. Every alchemy rank increases the Soul Treasure’s effective AP by 15% in this calculation.
So a 500 AP Soul Treasure when you’re at 250 AP will give +25 AP. If your Alchemy were 1 it would give (500 x 1.15 = 575 - 250 = 325 x 0.10 = 33AP, so an extra 8 for 1 rank, an extra 15 for 2 ranks. I think I lowered the minimum and disabled the ability to absorb soul treasures without alchemy in the coming update but will have to check.

Alright if it’s that little or difference I must’ve just missed it sense the soul treasure was always at a different amount and Yea you did I think you need 2 alchemy atleast
I remember beating it with Kurokonton style with the underhanded choice. If it helps to know, I succeeded the previous checks of attacking with Jin and then defending with handseals.

I’m not sure how Jack is any dumber than any other name when we have names like Angelo and Desdemona. Especially since your siblings names are Rin and Jin regardless of what race they are.

I though we’d have kinda average talent but we seem fairly talented compared to the rabble? Or is it because we cycled 2 heavenly gates?

It’s absolutely the Gates, maturing while training didn’t get you to 100 AP like it did to the Warrior Caste kids but then the gate throws ~55 your way, a huge jump. There’s diminishing returns too, as seen in the Big Chu montage you get basically 2-3 AP from an entire week of Warrior Caste training following the correct Path Manuals. The only truly unrealistic gains are that you get a base of 10 from winning a fight when it should be more like 1-2 in-lore. However it’s a game and the fights take forever to write (an unfinished fight in ch5 is already up to 14k words) so I make them more impactful.

If the gates made that much of a difference, I can understand why our fellow Thunderfallers hated us so much. Also, do you have a set number of books for this series? Is the power scale going to get massive?

I’m writing this one first, and will definitely leave room for more, but my plan is to close up a main plot here and now. Hell, with a little touchup the entire journey to the Trials could end up as a 300k “Book 1”, but for now they’re going to be a single book with that being the halfway point.

Can you tell us what foundations are? because when we first meet tian feng, she say’s we smell different and if you tell her we cycled half a heavenly gate, she says she hasn’t heard of such a foundation so will that come into play later on?
