Chapter 5 and 6 will touch up on them I’ve tried to keep the narrative steadily introductive, as your character missed a proper cultivation education (and is poorly traveled) so I introduce pieces of the mundane and mystical lore throughout the journey.
Since a Lore check can tell you about it in that scene I’ll say Foundations define the special physical/spiritual changes your body takes upon your first Advancement to gain some sort of advantage. Some Foundations help with one of the four Cores, some might serve another purpose like fast healing, gaining more from Gates, existing in some hostile environment like underwater or in the arctic, or chi efficiency.
Most Sects have their Martial Artists train a very specific way with many elixirs or treatments involved to ensure their body manifests the right Foundation when their first Advancement happens. You didn’t do Thunderfall’s usual methods and so you don’t have their (Fortitude-boosting) Foundation.
of the ros and the mc who has the best growth (prodigy), the mc seems to be a prodigy but I wonder if that and why he only advanced and that changed something
You know, can we try and Join another sect at the competition area, because we have no real reason besides our family to stay with the sect, everybody either doesn’t care about us or hates us, and besides Fatty all of the higher ups hates us.
I did hear that happens when saving on the menu screen, I know the latest version of ChoiceScript blocks you from saving there so that’s good. I may have to self-host the next update if dashingdon doesn’t update anyway because I’m using some of the newer features.
For this book? 0%. If we get to sequels, maybe book…4? I’m enjoying the setting quite a bit and have a ton I never touched on, so even if we get to a point where you’re too strong to have struggles I’d probably write more stories that have you start as a different MC, maybe let you port a save to incorporate any reform/disasters you cause in the first books. That being said, that’s all far in the future =p I’m not making any promises. As a first time writer my focus is writing this one-off good story and then there’s plenty of room for other plots to happen to your MC or because of your MC for later books. Honestly it’s a fun hobby, I don’t see a reason to ever stop, but I am mortal and don’t want to promise 4 books then die in a tragic cart accident.
Oh you could even do something like Soul Land, where we get to learn about the stories of the previous mc, even getting some skill from them in an indirect way. Of course thinking very far in the future, for now we already have something amazing.
I always thought that canonically the MC is very smart but lore is more like knowledge,to come with his own training regimen as a child and then beating Jack and overcoming obstacles the MC has 500.000 IQ like Todo.
@cultivator-anon Would it be possible for the Monkey Yokai to get a Super Saiyan type of transformation but with SSJ4 since they already has monkey features? Some players could even go for the golden fur theme for a golden SSJ4 that some people wanted.
Golden ssj4 is a bit of a overdosage for me, the red hair an tail with oragen eyes has all the charm needed for a monkey yokai with the wild aura style…
On goose to chiken, wich are the combinations of style and background? I havent (re)played much besides doing the blade style with different chars
your talk kind of gave me an idea.
why don’t we die in one of the books and get reborn?
like maybe Jack kill us and we get reincarnated as a baby from the start but still have all our memories of what happened and maybe you can make the reason for that is the heavenly foundation that we got and then we kill Jack as a revenge for what happened that will be mind blowing
I feel like I should stop cooking LoL.
But that would leave us at a cliffhanger regarding the Jack problem. The author specifically said that they don’t want to leave us with that kind of thing. Quite frankly, I agree with him. I would rather have different stories with the same character, than one massive hanger that doesn’t seem to tie up loose ends.
My dude with all due respect that sounds just awful: Having to start over again after crawling our way out of the gutter, as a baby, victimized by Jack yet again, all for the sake of a revenge plot that should be closed in this very first book sounds very unsatisfying. If Jack gets made an RO then it’s even worse.
Might be a cool plot for a novel, but not for a sequel to a cyoa, as it would erase all the achievements of the player.
And why are we even talking about sequels anyway? The first bool isn’t even halfway done.
