In regards to Kitsunes, are they just heavily discriminated against or are they actually hunted and killed? Because I know that if we play a Kitsune, were hiding our identity from the rest of the town, but what would happen if they somehow found out?

MC is 17 at the start of chapter 2 (shortly after the fight with Jack) and that’s what the Stats screen displays. Chapter 1 covers their growth between age 10 and 17.
Checking the script, no idea how you’d get MC’s age shown as 7: They are 20 year olds in the prologue, then the number is reduced by 10 (rendering them 10 year old) and then it’s increased by 1 a few times along the story.
Can someone tell me who shows up to teach you on the style in Chapter 4? I know that Tian Fang shows up if you’re Midorikatai and Leona for Akakiru. Who are the rest?

Lizardboi Guiren shows up for Ninja style which is the one I usually go for as my kitsune mc.

In the “Defined and handsome, like a prince” physique for male, does that include a good amount of muscles as compared to “Lean and agile, Like a wolf”?
Probably less. The “lean and agile” provides bonus to athletics and the equivalent is “runner’s build” for female MC. The “handsome” option is equivalent to “an eye-catching hourglass figure” for women and increases Persuasion. So it’s more like the pretty boy appearance, although since this is cultivation game it’s not like you’d be devoid of muscles.
I’d say it’s largely cosmetic choice, because none affects your actual Power stat. For weapon specialist the best option may actually be “Short and stocky, like a builder” because it increases your Craft, which is closely associated with weapon development (you’ll pick a better quality weapon in late game with decent Craft stat, e.g.)

So for an Akakiru male MC who just wanted a decent amount of muscles. The proper options for that are either Lean and agile or Large and muscular?
If it helps for Shinobi build I either go pretty boy Prince build for charisma or Lean and Agile for simple athletic style which matches the agility core build I tend to go for.
Jin and Rin should be 2 years younger than you, so if they’re fifteen you should show as 17 which is generally viewed as an adult in your village. You should be 18 after training with Big Chu and 19 after chapter 3’s year of freedom. I plan to have you turn 20 during the Trials.
Originally it was actually 16 viewed as an adult (Crusader Kings rules) but I aged the MC up by 1 year so any romance with Kosuke happened at 18 due to USA laws.

@Drakona It’s not a death sentence but it entirely depends on the whim of the community/person you run into, in a lot of places you’re not viewed as humanoids like oni and yokai are, you’re viewed as spirits with a Heavenly-assigned purpose in life to cause trouble.

Are the element options mentioned in the update notes for Chapter 4-5 for players who didn’t want the Fire or Storm element in Chapter 2-3 nor wanted to do the Monastery mission since it takes up too much time?
Mind you, the monastery mission takes just 2 months if you don’t quite literally fuck around during it. It’s hardly “too much time” given the benefits.
The element options from Ch.4-5 are there so the player can obtain second elements that isn’t fire or storm which you can acquire earlier. Or indeed their first/second if they didn’t get any so far.
Well, they are not random per se: you always get a choice of the same few elements, most of them is related to MC’s past experiences which are fixed part of their backstory.

So the element options in Chapter4-5 are similar to the Fire and Storm events. They’re both random coincidences that gives you the opportunity to get an element for free. While the Monastery allows you the choice of all elements.
In other words don’t screw the Shrinemaiden? Blasphemer, Heretic that is the main reason my mc went there.

Started a new mc and tbh no clue why I never tested this but the chain of events if ya keep sipping tea in the Magistrate scene is glorious Gods Mao destroying everything is funny af.

Sounds fun. I gotta try that on one of my playthroughs. I might redo my current playthrough though before that cause I might’ve messed up on the elements since I wasn’t sure if I could have more than two. I am an Reptile Yokai with Akakiru style and the elements of Fire and Darkness. Am starting to think I should’ve picked Storm and Wind. Was thinking of going for a speed swordsman with high power and a little bit of Fortitude and Soul.
I still wished we were able to create our own type of weapon early on if you picked the Blacksmith background. And if not, buy one or order a custom-made weapon.
