A good point, I had that option only for learning the Darkness element but people who already have it should be able to do it too
I like the storm+wind combo, it feels like we are the tempest itself :p. Of course this is supposing that we get strong enough to affect the weather, and not only something isolated, like sending lightning once (since we get to adept after this, I presume that was the current limit.)
Yeah it is pretty cool. My character mostly used his techniques and hand sealing, but for sure lightning and wind looks cool thematically. Especially having sacred chi with that and a staff, coming off godlike lol
I went with Aoyusumu and also used the book and demonic gate as an Oni lol. I gotta say that this Sacred Chi style is epic. Prayer Talisman moment and then the Buddha’s Palm? Oof. I think part of the problem is when you first choose it, it sounds like it’s just a psionic warrior build. There’s only one mention of “exorcist monk”
Aoyusumu MC vs Taio, slightly exaggerated:
do you know name of movie in this gif ?
i think i have seen this when i was kid but i don’t remember it’s name.
edit: nevermind i found it
In case anyone else wants to know, it’s Kung Fu Hustle (and it’s hilarious)
This is exactly what I thought of lol
Just out of curiosity. Is it possible that, later in the game, if the mc decides not to learn any element, he will receive a reward or punishment?
I don’t think the mc will fail if they don’t have a element, a element is just a automatic success stat check, if you didn’t have element in certain senarios then the mc own skills will kick in and do the rest like how you can survive taio fire torture with the fire element or fortitude stat to endure it
That might work as a feature in a DLC or something, a sort of Sage Mode or some other power up that can be used if you have no elements, but for the base game I don’t want to punish people for using the existing features.
That makes sense, thanks for the answers.
Hey author, pls if possible can they be a background sycronization for Aoyusumu style or if there is can you tell me which background works with it @cultivator-anon
Yeah, like a monk background. Now that would be cool. But i reckon it would too much to add another background, so sadly its gonna remain a dream.
I think merchant or herbalist would work with it. Merchant cause the description is more like physic manipulation. Herbalist for the whole priestly healing kind of thing
Aoyusumu has no childhood synergy due to its experience buff, it gives more total progress towards completed Cores then the others by 10. So essentially, every background gets a half-synergy with it.
Am I the only one who thinks that mercantile origins are the best? (There is no better gift a father can give his son than a LOT of money)
I don’t know, the free extra core of your choice you get with alchemist background is pretty decent, and i can see a point about all the extra interactions trapper MC gets with their pet as equally interesting/worthwhile.
What are all the elements that our MC can have? Apart from the classics earth, water, fire and air, I don’t know the others lol
Wind, Earth, Water, Fire, Storm, Ice, Light and Darkness. You can pick one freely if you go on a trip to acquire it in Chapter 3, and there’s few situations which allow to acquire another element, although from more limited set (fire, storm, earth, wind, ice and darkness, iirc)
