@BubbaJubbs Dang this was hard for me to vote on because i love them all, i usually play kiihakai or aoyusumu on most of my playthroughs but as of this update akakiru is looking pretty good to me because of murmasa, that being said i chose aoyusumu because i feel it needs some love.
@Leonard_Gondola Nice one of my characters is an oni swordsman with those exact elements and you just summed up what i was going for in better words than i ever could have.
On one hand, the Power bonus and Persuasion increase from beating the Sabertooth is very nice—but on the other hand, rizzing up Desmonda/making connections is important for the growth of the clan, so it’s a tough decision to make.
The solution? Let me fight The Board already!!! I’m itching to see what kind of fight it will be, and the kind of bonuses we can get from beating it!
Also, the Battlesacred Technique in the Akakiru route gave me a question—how do scars work in this world? Are they even a thing, with macigal healing through Alchemy and Chi-healing and stuff?
@BigBadWulf@Wiliam_Rafael_da_Sil that bug requires me testing the instances directly since it involves weird gosub wizardry and I don’t have any free hours M-F or most Saturdays (long commute, work, pregnant wife, excitable baby), so it won’t be fixed until Sunday. I think that bug is from dying to something on the next page so for now try packing a healing elixir pill and eat it before getting to that page.
The Boar will have his day =p for now priorities have overtaken it. As for scars, if the healing elixirs and pills you take are made from lower quality/AP ingredients than the attack that damaged you it can cause scarring. It’s hard to judge exactly but easy examples are a Kiihakai Fire wielder with 3k AP would definitely leave scars on people using remedies made by mediocre alchemists using herbs from a low ambient chi area like Outer West. Likewise if a low AP fighter backstabbed the MC then a basic healing pill would prevent scarring easily.
I don’t think that’s the cause with this bug as I haven’t taken any damage.
To be specific where it’s happening, it’s when Jack shows up and is screaming “Thunderfall!”, I’m guessing he’s about to use a move. I had already fired the laser beam and talked alchemy with the witch before he appeared.
Spotted a missing gosub_scene check here in chapter5mansion, can’t be giving them players a free pass now can we
#Catch it!
Chi surges over your hands in a constant stream as you catch the attack and try to prevent it from detonating.
*set combatstat "fortitude"
*set combatstat2 "soul"
*set combatdiff 11
*if (passcheck)
By pressing the blast inward between both palms you're able to keep its power suppressed, but the damn thing keeps rushing you forward. The Mystic Chi behind it stops Crow Li's Technique from losing any momentum, so you turn at the last second and throw his attack behind you.
It soars over the mansion, over the treeline behind it, and explodes in a blinding golden flash.
*goto notbadjack
@cultivator-anon I got a question for you. If we go Reptile Yokai, would we have the chance to change our race into a draconic race and be able to transform into a dragon? And if so, would we be able to do an attack on this scale in either forms?
Or this kind of attack? https://youtu.be/lL52hm6ELww?si=QxYRXC13GIaMbOPX
Cause it feels like a possibility. And even if the author doesn’t plan on doing it now, they might change their mind later in case they either felt like it or for other reasons.
And you are not going to be killed by something Mao defeated without breaking a sweat. They may be a scourge, a plague, or even an apocalypse for mere villagers, but you are no villager. You are a Warrior. A shock of excitement runs down your spine when you look at this as not a living nightmare, but a fight. A fight you can win. Feeling returns to your limbs and a blazing aura of green Wild Chi ignites around your body.
You are not trapped in Ebikowa with these maneating monsters.
They are trapped in Ebikowa with you.
I chose Green Chi exactly for this Doom Slayer moment. RIP AND TEAR
