theoretically she can take control of the MC if you don’t have the necessary power
Does anyone know how to get the Handseal needed to absorb the storm?

So you gotta have a battle of the wills with the sword? Lol

That’s literally what you do when you get Muramasa, but I’ve never lost to her so I don’t know if you kill someone or just become unable to use it.

thank you very much

Is there any difference in choosing what elements you will use, damage wise? I chose Storm since it said it was strong af but was a bit indecisive on the second one. Ended up choosing Earth, since it’s good to have a good ofense + good defense combo but will it affect combat?

Mostly they give more options in combat, like smacking someone in the head with a staff or cutting a chi attack in half with your sword.

So far it seems mostly to be something fun rather than something one needs to worry about gaming to avoid failure in fights, so if you’d rather fight barehanded I don’t think the author is looking to punish you for that choice.

So anyway what elemental combinations are you folks going for?

My Monkey King inspired build of course goes with Wind and Earth, my Oni Exorcist I went with fire and light, I’m not sure about my ninja, maybe Storm and Darkness, I haven’t decided.

Yes, the chosen element effects how and when you can use it. For instance, in the most recent chapter, there’s an opportunity to freeze a liquid opponent with ice chi, and, when fighting Tian Fang at the storm gate earlier on, having ice or fire chi grants special bonuses. There’s also the occasional moment where having a particular element makes a normal combat option easier or an automatic success, such as fire chin lowering the difficulty of a massive energy attack or earth chi helping with a particular punch.

Also, while I’m thinking about it, I noticed something on the Midorikatai path.

This implies Tian Fang knows my MC is a Kitsune, a fact that he has kept hidden for all of his life, and there’s no reaction to this. Feels off, y’know?

Heres my elemental combos so far!

Kitsune Mystic = Light and Darkness

Oni Swordsman = Fire and Darkness

Human Midorikatai = Wind and Lightning

Human Ninja = Lightning and Darkness

I have a question. When playing the beast path will we get more choices to be more beast focused like fang Instead of strength and size focused like crusher?

You can always pick the option that makes you able to command animals.

That’s what I choose usually, I can’t wait to choose what animal we gain a connection too!:blush:

Same but if you pick trapper as a background you can get an animal connection much earlier,
my guess for other animals would probably be the sabretooth we fight in the woods assuming you let it live of course.
