I see that when you use Inspect Element to adjust your stats, it gets reset whenever you load a save. That’s kinda annoying when you have to remember exactly how many points you had in some skills.
It only resets when you load an old save (before the editing) or when you edit and then you save instead of clicking next.

It never did that for me. You edit the stats, click on a choice and then the stats are changed for good and you can save and load as you want.
There aren’t any same-sex romances (I’m a first time writer, have mercy) and the current plan is you can romance multiple people at once with only a few problems that you may or may not be able to get around. Leona is introduced in the next content addition, she’s already got a portrait so I listed her here. She also shows up to train Akakiru MCs

That would explain why I didn’t see any romance options between my female MC and other female ROs.

Oh, I really like that kind of romance systems!
Honestly I think the Style choice should be put later because where it currently is, we don’t really have the necessary context to make a good choice and we get our entier style explained by the trainer anyway so it’s not like it’s an information the MC would have at that point in the story so I think it would be better if we chose our style closer to when we meet the trainer.
It would also make testing easier since players can more easily save and try the other paths and report if there’s any problem.

This is a bloody brilliant piece of interactive fiction, and you dear author, are the chad-est of writers to randomly plop it out into the world with no prior warning and then just acting like it’s no big deal. Hats off to you, for making my Halloween that much for fun while I am stuck at home for medical reasons. It is no exaggeration when I say this is one of the top 3 IFs/demo I have read this year; You dear author should be proud of this well-written story.
The plot/world is interesting, the power/skill-system is varied and has something for everyone to enjoy, but my favourite part of the story are definitely the characters and their interactions with the MC. Also, the MC is really fleshed out and feels like their own person rather than just a blank-slate for the player to self-interest as, which is really neat and helps add to the immersion rather than take away from it which I really like!
And man are the characters fun! They are definitely a highlight of this story, with their dynamic personalities and their interactions which always leave me wanting more! None of them feel two-dimensional, but instead feel like full fledged characters with their own past and experience with their own development that occur outside of their interactions with the MC. I really like that, it really adds to the story!
Also, MC’s family was a surprise for me, because I did not expect myself to like them so much! The parents feel fully fledged out, Dad’s nail-pun was a highlight of the blacksmith path, Mum straight up shooting Jack’s dad in the back after telling dad off made me laugh, Jin and Rin are not just introduced for progressing the plot, and actually learn from the events and train to get stronger and have their own thing going on separate from the MC. If I have any nitpicks from this IF, I would like some more interactions with our family in the next update. Also it would be a funny scene where MC, being the over-protective big bro/sis is lamenting over their little sis becoming a “harlot” (those who trained Rin know what I’m talking about) and wondering where they went wrong, and the twins gang up on the bullying and remind MC that the first thing they did upon reaching the sacred temple for the sake of training was bang the Miko priestess for three days straight. Rin just learnt from the best.
All in all, a fricking fantastic read is what this IF is, and I will be waiting with bated breath for the next update. Take care, dear author, and thanks for the enjoyable experience!

Do you plan on adding same sex romances in the future? Also, I didn’t know that depending on which background you pick that it can synchronize with the Style you picked. Which backgrounds synchronizes with which styles?

The description for the elemental powers makes it sound like one would be better off choosing an element that covers a weakness rather than one that compliments one’s strengths.
Like if you are slow light or wind would be a better than being fortitude specialized and picking the defense of the earth element.
I wanted to make sure I was reading that right.

After you become a disciple and get a few months off to do your own thing before the Heavenly Ascension Trial starts, is it possible to use Inspect Element to adjust how many months you have to do something before the Trials starts? Like, I think you start with 11 months? So, would it be possible to change that 11 months to around 15 or more? I’m mostly bothered by it because the journey you can decide to take to get your element is 2-4 months long which leaves you without much time to do the rest of the stuffs on the list (like training with your siblings and childhood friend).

I already explained how to do so earlier.
Get to that part of the game, use inspect element, go to consol, type ‘stats’, then open every arrow under scene and then CTRL-F search for ‘month’.
I would have thought Blacksmith was for the Shinobi, since you mostly make nails and nails are pretty associated with curses, shinobi traps and bombs and Kunai and Shurikens follow pretty much the same pattern, especially with the wirework technique.

This demo was peak and I loved every bit of it lol
I used an Arakiru MC so I met Leona, and she’s already my favorite RO. That cliffhanger was great but honestly I was ready to assert dominance on Tiao again so I was very sad to see it cut where it did. I would say stats feel pretty balanced, you can generally raise your stats high enough to pass most of the important checks and get enough aura to raise cores enough to beat the fights fairly easily. Didn’t really have any trouble, though if I had to say, when you escort the merchant caravan on the way to the trial, right before meeting Leona, every way to help the caravan travel faster succeeded for me except the robbery which I didn’t really want to proceed with. However this causes you to always avoid the boar and I kind of wanted to have a chance to fight it like the sabertooth such as when you agitate it with a successful aura scan. Sad to miss out on cool cloak chance.
Seriously though, I loved this one and it’s honestly impressive you just dropped such a lengthy demo out of nowhere! Hyped for the next update!
Edit: Forgot to add that I also really love the inclusion of special events that you can trigger with certain action combinations.

For some reason my game bugged out in chapter 3 so now i can’t progress past the cultivation page…
This WIP is way too cool, I actually felt choices I make made diffrence
