Ok pulling an Orochimaru is like if you know from naruto where Orochimaru wanted to master all jutsu so he experimented on countless clans and took samples of thier cells so he could have access to their clan kenkei genkai’/ modify himself in hopes of achieving sage mode along with his technique to takeover anyonewjo has his curse mark on thrm.
And then there is all the stuff his experiments were about back when he was traveling with Anko and when he was a leaf ninja way before he was a rouge ninja, such as him Making a girl into his prototype underwater ninja, and him experimenting on kids to see who can survive amd be compatible with the first hokage’s cells just to mention a few things

If you add experiments, maybe there could be some that are only for Demonic MCs while some are only for good MCs.
Demonic MCs would experiment on others while good MCs would experiment on themselves. That way Demonic MCs struggle with finding good test subjects while good MCs struggle with finding good samples or with avoiding side effects.
That would give a new utility for the Alchemy stats too (could also have Crafting play a role too since you’ll need a good lab and specialized tools). Might also be a good time to use the Yokai mechanic of eating to gain power again too.

I was wondering something: Since Leona’s family name is ‘Bangle’, that mean Master Bangle was being called his family name by Mao, right? So why was he addressing Mao as ‘Master Mao’ instead of ‘Master Crusher’ since ‘Crusher’ is Mao’s family name?
Also why does sparing the Lightbringer gets you no prestige? You’ve defeated it publicly either way so wouldn’t it make more sense for both options to increase your prestige while killing it allows you to also get its spirit treasure?

I think everyone at the shore is too busy kung-fu fighting to discern whether you’ve spared the fish vs were simply to weak to prevent it from going away. Only delivering the killing blow leaves no room for doubt who’s had the upper hand there (and is spectacular enough to actually draw attention and get noticed)

I mean if they see you smacking it dead, they’ll see you smacking it into the sea after you laid it flat on the ground. It’s not like you kill it with a big finisher.
The big moment that left it defenseless happened before that choice and sure as hell can’t be missed.

I mean, Leona sees you smacking it dead. But most of them only see a dead corpse after the fact. And if there’s no corpse there’s no say why it’s gone. Don’t forget that one variant where it survives is MC failing to kill it, because you didn’t deal enough damage to it in the fight.
Also, what do you mean, you don’t kill it with a big finisher. I sure as hell did.

I just smacked it with my staff and it caved it’s skull in when I tried.
Most people seemingly saw the same thing the Archon did so that would be you defeating it and smacking it back to the sea.
And everyone fighting can sense and follow a fight through aura so they’d have sensed you quite literally smacking the aura out of the Lightbringer.

To be fair, the Archon was being unfair and you mostly gain it for the sheer audacity of talking back at all rather than for being mean.
Sure but they should still respect you literally beating the fight out of a demi-god. It tries to eat you for it only to get smacked again like an unruly puppy deserve some points.

I’ve encountered a recurring issue when playing the game in Safari on my phone. My save data gets deleted if I leave the tab inactive for a few hours—even if I don’t close the tab. When I return, all my progress is gone and the game restarts from the beginning.
This has happened three times now. What’s the point of having a save system if it doesn’t retain progress? This is the first WIP I’ve played where saves completely wipe themselves like this.

Apple deletes your cookies/local data unless you change the settings. I think the only way around it besides that is to use the cogdemos link which has a different save plugin.

That might make more sense but this isn’t my first WIP game. I played several for weeks in gaps and never got it deleted. I never clear the cookies myself. I’ll try a different browser

I don’t make my save plugin, and neither does CoG. It’s the same one used by any game at ChoiceScript Saving Plugin (Update: April 2023)
Dashingdon and I think cogdemos uses an older version of it so if it’s not working on itch it might work there.
