"Werewolf: The Apocalypse — The Book of Hungry Names" Demo Available Now!

Opening it in private browsing mode can also work if people don’t want to clear site data.

At least, it does on my iPad.

It feels weird that we can make several choices about wanting to protect people, but when BT rips that truckers throat out for pretty much no reason, we have zero options regarding being disgusted or calling her out on it. All the choices are about covering it up or something else entirely.

Imagine, I went for the camera…

I tried to sneak them away to safety and avoid all that entirely, but apparently homicidal pack members have other plans, and we just shrug it off… I guess?

You can cry at the end…and you can even find a kleenex!

How fortunate

You actually can call her out on it, but not until you get home. Before that, you’re dealing with several kinds of emergency at once.

Too bad you can’t cling to that walking screaming box and scream back ‘Hug meh’ with snot dangling from your nose!

I saw that, but I suppose I expected a choice right afterwards that said something like, “What the fuck is wrong with you?! He was innocent!”

Shove him, Growl at him, Poke his eyes, Tweak his nose, Turn around and fart as he whale in pain, Then walk away feeling proud

Thats what is missing from that scene!

What is happening in that brain of yours right now?

Better yet, don’t tell me.

well my mind is more amusing, since in that scene all I got was a good cry and a kleenex. :slightly_frowning_face:

You have to remember, the PC knows what it’s like to walk around full of murderous rage all the time. It’s not as if their own claws are so clean, right?

But shouldn’t you be able to regret what you did, and dislike killing innocent people like that? I know that Garou are violent, but they aren’t psycho killers. Well, most of them, anyways.

Your packmates, if you can even call them that, in Northern New York are not so soft-hearted, and I’m sure this is not the first time you’ve seen one of them wax a civilian.

Many WOD Garou really do see themselves as above humanity. Seeing a werewolf kill a person is, to them, like seeing a cat kill a mouse. Mostly, oh brother, one more mess to clean up.

But a lot of them also see humans as innocents caught in the crossfire, no? Like people who the Wyrm has an easier chance of manipulating and such?

You certainly can regret your own actions and dislike those of others, but it would be impossible not to become somewhat desensitized to violence under those circumstances. It may be awful, but it’s not unexpected or shocking the way it would be for you or me if one of our closest companions killed a stranger for no reason.

That’s a bit … generous. The Wyrm may be the “Big Bad” in their minds, but humans collectively are very much guilty of crimes against Gaia.

Best way to find out is to keep playing! A wider variety of Garou philosophies await further east.

I guess we’ve had differing experiences with games with Garou lol. Based on what I understand of all the differing clans, they all have a very different outlook on the Wyrm and it’s servants, with many seeing humans as irrelevant, others seeing them as innocent, and some seeing them as just as evil. Not to mention the clan that actually works for the Wyrm (don’t remember their name).

As @Khipsky says, you’ll meet Garou with a lot of different perspectives over the course of the game. But even those who don’t view humans as irrelevant or evil do tend to view them as “other,” for good reason.
