Well the option to join Hart Wardens just doesn’t appear for me. Like it’s not even grayed out because there is no option there.

So theres definitely a bug in the Hart Wardens. Man i really want the Falcon of doors gift but I can’t.

how are you holding 12? You can have a max of 10 gifts because composure and resolve max is 10 no?
I don’t hold 12. I am asking because it’s 6+6, composure+resolve. Playing as an Ahourn, ragabash, galliard, you can only have 10 gifts maximum. But Theurges and Philodox get more gifts. The kali gift is just not available, and is unattainable. I am kinda pissed that it’s there but unavailable. And Hou Yi is only available to Black Furies.
So can I get the talking to animals gift and porcupine gift with philodox?
attributes go up to level 5 max, not 6
@Tyrant_Evil you can for the Falcon you need high litany stat as for Porcupine you need high humanity stats

Ahhhh I’m having so much trouble figuring out the relationships in this game! Does anyone have a clue what sorts of personalities might attract what sorts of people. There’s no way I’m romancing a 7 year old wolf girl, regardless of whether she’s 21 in human years or whatever. And even Nomi seems too young, if my teenage PC is calling them kid. I’ve already done two playthroughs and romanced Melodie and Podge so that leaves me with Elton. I think my PC’s insistence on the litany and jokey manner is putting him off? Which sucks, because after learning the truth of who physically killed his wife and why (if you follow the unconventional path to destroy the Answering Tiger), I’m suddenly obsessed with him and his Shadow Lording ways.
I think it must have previously been a bug, because since the updates, I’ve been able to fix and heal the Barrows too, both physically and by performing chiminage.
Interesting! I think the same thing happened to me with the statue of Kali, which disappeared after I first checked it out so I couldn’t earn its gifts as a Black Fury. Which is fine, honestly. I couldn’t build any more composure or resolve. There simply wasn’t enough training time! But maybe I might try it sometime, after modding the files in Steam.
Ive been trying to figure that out for myself. Maybe it deals with your first initial reactions with them? one of my characters couldnt stand the litany but when they met melodies, said all nice things and despite openly and flagrantly advocating to destroy the litany I’m still able to get down with her. But based on their personalities, it seems to be something like this
Melodie is rebuild litany and humans understand,
podge is down with the litany and humans must understand
Elton is down with the litany(??) and answer is spirit/maybe find the answers
Nin kinda looks like shes humans must understand but idk if thats really her or who she tries to be and something else i don’t really know
Nomi is obviously find the answers and something else i don’t know.
I don’t have anything concrete to say about this but on the characters where my values aligned with them and DIDNT piss them off i had 3 dots immediately without even flirting with them. But on the characters where my values were opposite to them even with the flirting, i had at most 1 dot and i felt the relationship was strained and they basically reject your advances. I hope this helps bro. Ive asked Elton on a date TWICE now and he kinda just shrugs me off. Like bro we literally have the same values, sorry I’m not your dead wife
@Canix really? Does it actually count for a 6th dot? As in the max a check becomes is now out of 9? Can you max your composure and resolve then join the children of gaia to get 11 gifts?
Ahahahahaha! For some reason, all my personalities seem to do great with Nin, and when you turn stats to numbers instead of dots, it shows that she’s devoted to me, whereas the others are cool or polite, or, at most, friendly. I managed to have my MC romance Podge even at polite but Melodie was harder even at friendly. Which makes sense. Podge seems like he’s down to smash anything that moves, and as long as you’re all about humans understanding, you’ll get along. I really don’t want to look through the code since it’s all complicated, but I’ll try your guesses for Elton, thanks so much! <3 (Currently my MC is respect the litany + humans must understand + find the answers + jokey, and I have a feeling that Elton is down with the litany + dignity/humans must pay. In fact he might be the only RO to be humans must pay).

Edit: All right! I figured out how to romance Elton. First, I waited until my MC had three relationship dots with him, and I got there pretty much by insisting on answers and being curious, and by going along with his plans most of the time. Elton wanted the barn to burn? Turns out so does my MC, because she’s so spiritual that she doesn’t want the lands to hurt. Elton wants to ally with Dafne? So does my MC, because she wants answers. Elton wants to kill Fornam? Technically, my human loving MC did put her foot down there, but she could’ve easily let him go ahead since she believes in the Litany and he’s her “Elder”. My MC also chose to hang out with him whenever needing to investigate in most places (except in a couple of situations). And then she flirted with him once on brownie night, kissed him in the very next interaction choice, and started to refer to him as her boyfriend. Which is oddly charming to my historical romance loving, old fashioned ass. The same cannot be said for the Podge romance route. I adore Podge (when he’s not accidentally being transphobic), but so far I’ve liked Elton the most.
And awww, after my previous playthrough, where I discovered what happened with him exactly at the Battle of Graves, I absolutely adore this guy and his reluctance to kill or even act. Can’t be nice to have to kill the love of your life - or, at least, ahem, the former love of your life - even if it meant saving the world. No wonder he just sits around being grumpy and trying to parent all the other Garou.
@JBento Unfortunately, that option never comes up. I actually managed to restore that falcon spirit and gained the ability to talk to animals (my favourite ability, besides Mama Bear’s healing gift!) but options relating to Kali simply disappear. I think the same thing happened with the gorgon mask/idol on Rosemary Street/the urban blight. Elton told my MC that they could use it to get in touch with Black Tarn but nothing. It just fades away and doesn’t give you any powers. Same with some of the ancestor spirits (randos who never met you and will only give their power to people they knew in life) and other idols (spirits who will only give their power to wolf born Garou). Perhaps some dlc down the line might help. Or perhaps it’s a bug! I wish we had Ms Clear to help us sort through it all.
I have a question. Basically i recruited Pdge last, found myself attracted to him and wanted to romance him. i went to the date, but since i only had one dot with him i tought we could just hold hands and take it slow instead of kissing. Did i blow my chances prematurely or will i have the opportunity to rekindle the romance later?
I think the relationship part starts when you’re taking down the fenrir(?) It happens on the Hog’s Throne when you’re choosing who to talk to. I had 1 point with Podge and managed to romance him with no problem.
