Does anyone know how to get the Enchanted achievement?
Yes: dance with Galen, determined to resist his charms, but have low tenacity.
Thanks!
You can’t just choose to not resist his charms?
I didn’t have that option but I was wondering if different stats would make it available.
I don’t think so. Remember, you’re technically a guard on duty who has sworn loyalty to the kingdom of Rumia, so it makes sense you’d want to keep at least sort of a clear head. Besides, Galen actually thinks better of you if you don’t fall under his spell.
Thank you! Are you the author?
No, just a beta tester and code diver. There are some comments from the author, Leia Talon, upthread though.
First time replying. I hope I did it right heh . But. I’m a sucker for sexy and steamy scenes I will admit. I wasn’t sure how tasteful this game would write the sex scenes but I feel like this IF was tastefully written. I loved all the characters ( Julian <3) and I think overall a good read.
Do you know how to romance both the Darkwood Queen and the Fae Prince?
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I do my best to write high spice options that portray emotional connection and respectful intimacy (while also including sweet options that allow players who want to avoid sex scenes to build emotional bonds). And Julian is such a fun character. Thanks for playing!
All of the romance options simply require you to make choices that show you care about the characters you’d like to be with, and communicate your feelings if you want to pursue a poly relationship. The Darkwood Queen and Fae Prince poly relationship is a fun one! Enjoy!
Is it is silly of me to say I get slightly jealous of Mia irl because of Julian? its definitely obvious that Julian and Mia have been together intimately multiple times. And obviously there is a significant amount of sexual attraction. And that Julian enjoys her “company.” The first time I played I will admit I got green eyes. I was like no go away he’s my fictional bf XD. And then when she comes and sits with us in the lounge and Julian is stripping her with his eyes and says that my MC is in the way I feel a bit annoyed. And how lustfully Julian is staring at Mia. My MC is like “ahem I’m sitting right here Julian.” XD and irl I’m like you can leave Mia… bye now and my MC gets her cat claws out.
At first with Julian I was like is there anyone you won’t sleep with? Like by the gods If it has legs he’d probably sleep with it. But then I realized Julian was just a very sexual liberal person but the people he did sleep with he seemed to have a personal connection to. Such as Javier and MC. But I had to smile a little because even though I knew Mia had something with Julian he still chose my MC over him. And my MC is like that’s right keep on walking mixstress. Don’t get me wrong I think Mia is sexy and is a badass and I’d totally do her. But the jealous me irl and my MC in game is like yep that’s right keep walking girl. This is my man XD its funny I don’t mind Javier in the slightest but when Mia comes in my MC’s claws come out. Especially in regards to Julian XD anyway I love that man. Well really all the ROs. I’ve read it multiple times now! I think I get jealous because well women are catty. Especially over their man. Lol.
Ha! I love your honesty. And it’s not silly of you at all. Those are perfectly valid feelings. Yes, Julian has been with Mia, but Mia is a no-strings-attached kind of woman. Like even if Julian wanted to be with her she wouldn’t commit to him. It’s a friends-with-benefits situation that came about because the Rogue takes very few lovers and Mia was his friends-with-benefits hookup before Julian came along. Then the three became friends and found they had fun together in multiple ways. And though Julian formed what we could call a soul-connection with Javier, with Mia it was never more than a good time for him or her.
I don’t know if that backstory helps. There is a moment in one of the paths where Lissa asks Julian if he cares for Mia and he says it’s just a casual thing, but that’s something I maybe could’ve made clearer in the game. Also, at that point in the game the PC is just getting to know Julian, and we see what his life has been like up until then. Sex is one of his outlets to forget about the weight of being a prince. But over the course of the game we see him develop from this playboy prince type character into someone who steps into his power and the PC has a chance to help him do that.
The other thing about Mia is she’s happy for the prince and PC if they get together, and will do anything to protect Julian and his chosen one(s). And Julian is willing to dedicate himself to the PC only, or include the PC in his connection with Javier. I had a lot of fun with the dynamics in those characters. Or they had a lot of fun with me, I suppose, since my characters are really the ones writing the stories. On that note, Mia would like me to tell you that he’s all yours. Have fun!
Thanks!
I only got the romance with the prince but I’ll try again!
This was a fun little romp through this well-constructed world. With the classic armors- Blade, Shadow(Stealth), Hermes(Tenacity) and Fae(Diplomatic) for a Hunter that I always play in nearly all games, despite its shorter-than-usual length, it was still a solid and engaging piece, with a nice but not an overdose of the action. This piece’s main shortcomings is the fact that we need to have more time in the underground, rogue domain and the Fae domain. These areas could have a whole lot more going on in these two spheres. That way, we could better set up the conflict between the main kingdom and the other two domains. As mentioned earlier, it is good that we always have a strong, solid and nice ending with whoever we choose. It is also good that we can adjust the “romantic description level”. Let’s hope that there will be some sort of follow-up to this. Kudos to Leia and the team!
I have done the Galen/Queen Edenia route and it’s actually really nice too. Towards the end of the story (idk how to do spoilers here) you have a chance to go with the Fae and live with them. And they accept that Prince Galen is in a poly relationship. It’s very well done. And even still you can still choose to be with Galen or Edenia even if you’re with Julian or the Rogue. You just split your time between Threasha and the Wilds. There’s multiple options when it comes to romance and the end is no different. It’s very nicely incorporated. I loved this IF and have read it multiple times now. It’s so good. Its actually my first Hearts Choice IF. I’m glad I bought it.
You can do that??? I probably wouldn’t since I already have my MC for Julian and the Rogue poly, but that’s really cool. Is Galen romanceable alone? I really do need to go try this again!
I’m glad I bought it, too. It’s the best HC game I’ve played. I wish there were more like it.
Every character can be romanced alone.
Just finished Their Majesties’ Pleasure and oh, boy… So. It’s way past midnight, but I just had to finish the story. I usually can’t get into fantasy setting very well these days like I used to, but this just got me replaying the story and exploring the routes. It was so easy to get into the story and the characters had the depth I was hoping for. The only downside is that I want more! The epilogues could’ve been a bit longer, but that’s probably just my hesitation to part with the story. I can only hope that we’ll see more from the author, it has been a pleasure!
The author has definitely dropped a hint or two that more is coming, in one way or another.
And while you wait for more from the world of TMP, she has a series of non-interactive fantasy novels you might like to check out.
Thank you for the recommendation! I’ll have to check it out, I admit I’m curious. I still haven’t exactly figured out what got me so intrigued by this game, but I’m obsessed with the author’s writing style. The words are chosen with such care and just… fit seamlessly into the story. For example - right now, I’m at the first scene at Threasha’s market - and I feel like I’m the one buying chocolate pastries and getting invested in the stall merchant’s daughter’s fiddle lessons. Okay, that’s enough of me rambling. Thank you for this gem.
