Aah, the love triangle, I can see it’s been an…interesting topic of discussion, haha 
Gonna be honest, the love triangle is in there because it was the love route when I was going to make this a novel series. I put so much work into planning it over the years that I didn’t want to let it go, which is also why it is the way it is with the MC dating N but having those feelings for A.
The MC dates N because N is open and willing. A is not, and denies any sort of feelings for the MC, so the MC assumes there isn’t any…except deep down they both know.
Plus I just wanted a super angsty, vampires-falling-in-love-with-me-all-over-the-place kind of route, lol! I mean, this is fiction, we can indulge our more melodramatic romantic sides in it! (And if there’s anything I enjoy, it’s super melodramatic romance!)
The love triangle will be morally awkward, there’s no getting around it and I’m not going to be backwards in coming forwards about saying that. I’m not gonna say that the love triangle route is going to smooth going. If you take on the LT route, you gotta prepare yourself for that unease of having feelings for two people and what events might happen due to that. But that is the basis of a love triangle, lol.
Book Two should give people a better idea of how this LT will play out and if they’re going to be comfortable with it. It’s why I made sure to put A and N as seperate routes, because I knew many people would not be comfortable with the way things play out. Yet there are others who can just roleplay and enjoy this route due to it being complete fiction.
A and N’s friendship is too strong for it to be broken by the MC and this love triangle, even if it will get tense at times. A also won’t intentionally try to take the MC away. As some people said, A doesn’t intend for these things to happen even if they do. It doesn’t make the situation right, but it sure makes for angsty heart-pounding narrative, lol!
So yeah, if people don’t like it, hopefully they can play the single routes and indulge in those just as much instead. All of the routes will be just as intense and romance-y in their own ways, I’m definitely gonna make sure of that!

So, in other news, back to Chapter 5 today and finally plotted out more of the end split scene of it that wasn’t in my original plan! Oh man, so excited for it now

No, there is not any sort of ‘default’ other than the fact that the player will have to chose between A and N when the time comes.
So do not worry, you can go for A.

what I mean…is…make it sound like A is the poor choice? Dunno if you get what I’m saying . Cose I love Both…I think they are both amazing and I love them both equally…I don’t see A superior cose of…or N superior cose of…and I mean their romances , the quality of it…not them personally .
kinda like…make A for exemple…close down completely…where if you pick N she open up right away . I’m not saying it will be like that…just wondering and worrying and stuff

I’m not sure if you are talking about their individual routes or the Love Triangle, so what I am going to say is, all the routes will be different from each other, but that doesn’t mean any of them will be better than others.
For the LT, the only thing that is set in stone is that MC will date N. That is just how the mechanic of the LT works, now, you will be perfectly able to choose A all the time if you want, even if you will still be dating N for certain time. Also, I am pretty sure that all the moments when you chose A, will all be about the repressed feelings that merge into the surface want it or not, just the be closed again once the moment is gone.
So… yeah, I am sure that both A and N will be really good on the LT, they will be different, of course, since they are different characters, but they will be equally good and non will be more canon than the other.

My question is: Since we have to date N, do we also have to have feelings for A? Can we not play as the Detective loves N, but A develops one-sided feelings for them?
Or are we forced to fall for A either way?

Yes, ok, so, to make it clear, as Sera said on her comment above, there are two things that are canon on the LT route.
- We will date N on the LT
- The Detective and A will have strong feelings for each other, how you interact with this is up to the player. You can be in massive denial, or you can be confused, or maybe a bit more accepting, but not to the point where you will leave N for A, at least not in the early books, of course.
We have to date N because N is not a stupid ass who is in constant denial (I still love you A, but lets face the facts 
) , and N is open and ready to have a romantic relationship, so the MC will start dating them because they want it, while A is just NOPE, NO, NOT HERE, NO FEELINGS, NOT AT ALL, etc etc.

So how is it a LT if …well if you said is true…
A isn’t a romance at all ? 
So let say…I pick A…what happen then ? I mean…she is a full romance right ? beyond book 2+ …
You can still have romantic moments with A. Sera has said that the LT is the only one that will still keep track of points so that the story can react to that. YOU get to choose who you want.
I feel like some people are missing the point here. 
It’s a love TRIANGLE, meaning that there HAS to be feelings going between all directions. Otherwise, it’s just one guy/girl pining for his/her friend’s sweetie pie. That’s not a triangle; that’s the player wanting to feel loved by everyone without feeling the guilt, and there’s nothing wrong with that. I like to play that way too sometimes. 
It’s just not an option in this story. I think Sera has been pretty clear about that.
Suggestion: go search for tumblr for love triangle tags. she’s got some great stuff on there—even a couple of scenarios for it so that people can get a feel for how it could go down.

I’m not saying A is not a romance at all, what I am saying is that you will not have the option to date A until much much muuuuuuuuuch later, probably book 6 or 7 for the LT.
You guys need to understand that the LT is going to be painful, there is no sweet part.

Homewhever , the way the stuff were said above . It maded sound like N will get the MC by default…due to their personality . Where A…(If I were to choose A more during the LT)…you get stuck in kinda a friendship path due to their ‘feeling’ sort of .
I’m not saying I want A to be like N . I understand how A is and all . Just wondering if even though A is a stuck up…there would be something to chew on…
you know what I mean ?
And we are saying that AT FIRST you will DATE N, then LATER on the books, you WILL be able to CHOSE A.

I notice there’s a bit of confusion so I’ll just come out and slip in my 2 cents.
In the love triangle you will have feelings for both A and N. HOWEVER you will be dating N. THAT DOESN’T MEAN you and A will be just friends. There is no platonic love in the love triangle, you have feelings for both A and N whether you like it or not. Yes, maybe to everyone else your relationship with A is “just friends” becuase you aren’t dating A, you’re dating N.
So to clarify again
YOU WILL HAVE FEELINGS FOR A
YOU CAN CHOOSE TO HAVE MOMENTS WITH A.
AND the same applies to your relationship with N.
