I believe Sin was keeping tabs on the Detective from afar, watching them at the station. Since they are an aerial enemy, they could watch from above possibly without being detected, or, perhaps he has some kind of cloaking power/device. Seems there are lots of trees to hide in, too.
Further surveillance could show Sin who the MC drifts toward wanting to be around the most. I don’t think Sin would necessarily know the LI is the LI, but could watch to see which people the MC interacts with most who seem to be the most important to them.
Heey, Rebecca being held hostage would be an interesting twist. Unit Bravo and the Agency would clearly want her back safely but if the MC has a low relationship with her…would the MC care?

This is a very valid point. So, wouldn’t it be better to drain the MC of some of their blood (not enough to kill us), but then sell our blood in vials and make more money on a consistent basis? Their money would keep flowing as long as they had blood to sell.
I could see this happening, and I hope it does. Oh, it would be even better if there were signs of them watching us before we’re kidnapped. The game would become more eerie as a result. Regarding Rebecca being held hostage, even though we don’t get along well with her, it would be more of a principal type of situation. A stranger has no right to harm our estranged mother; that is our responsibility.

They could easily just be using the mc to get some powerful Supernatural in one spot, to nuke them all.

If this Vilain wanted us so badly for our powers, why podcast it with a Bounty, making it open hunting season for anyone willing to risk it?
Why do that and attract attention to one self, and put what you want at risk, and add competition?

You might be alone! But that’s okay. I’ll be fine with or without a kiss, either way, I just think Mishka is walking a fine line where too much slow burn is going to make people start to fizzle out in enjoying A’s character. I think a lot of people really need something in this book, so a gentle, wanting kiss would be worth it.
I think A’s burn so far has been well-paced, even though I see people complaining that nothing physical has really happened so far. It makes sense for the character to not be physical at all yet. I can’t imagine being almost 1000 years old and having to deal with these kinds of emotions for the very first time.

I see what you’re saying. Hm, yeah, this might be a scheme within another scheme. The end result isn’t our deaths, money, or blood. I hope it’s interesting. Maybe the MC is a threat to an enemy the agency has and that’s who we’re being sold to?

The Mayor I encountered just seemed too interested in his public image and getting into Rebecca’s pants. I got the lecherous vibe from him but only because he wanted to get his smaller head wet. Didn’t consider his interests may lie deeper (pun intended).
