Oh good. I was hoping that by picking the angry option in Adam/Ava’s case – I mean, they were quite rude – won’t lock my MC out of the romance :))
Here’s to slow burn relationships where you start on the wrong foot, slowly learn to trust each other, become partners, then WHAMBAM FEELINGS HAPPEN
Slightly tangential point though, but it’s in the general romance side, do we get scenes with the LI and Bobby? Especially when the aforementioned reporter is pretty annoying/nosey? Bonus if Bobby is an ex :))
[details=Summary]LI: So you dated?
MC: Unfortunately. I was young(er) and stupid.[/details]
@AChubbyBlackCat - It didn’t come off nosy at all It’s so nice that you’re interested! It’s just I’m so excited about the project, I have to remember to keep myself from just chatting and chatting about it, then spilling everything before you guys have had a chance to enjoy the actual story yet!
@squarelyblue - There will be scenes where the vamps and Bobby are together- and, yes- things could get a little interesting if Bobby’s your ex (I can’t help it, I love stuff like that!)
The scenes should still be interesting, even if Bobby isn’t your ex though. Those are the kinds of things will hopefully make replays worth the effort
You and I definitely enjoy the same types of drama in fiction I’m imagining Bobby hardcore flirting with the MC while Ava stands there trying to make it seem like she doesn’t care at all when she cares SO MUCH.
Oh my god. Part of me is like I want to believe you get to give a one up to the ex like Blake punching a certain weasle in Lady’s Choice in terms of being extremely satisfying things that could happen
But the other part is just okay what if Seraphinite gives Bobby more depth – which is totes possible given her writing style – and we feel less satisfied and mildly guilty?
I’m still volleying for MC giving the ex the proverbial middle finger BECAUSE THAT ACADEMIC SLEAZINESS BACKGROUND HAPPENING GOT ME UPSET LIKE YOU HAVE NO IDEA
@BoltSterling - Yeah, I do have a thing for that kind of stuff And you’re so spot on with Ava/Adam- think they’d be about ready to burst having to stand there and watch it- but pride and stubborness would win out and they’d keep their mouth shut… probably!
@squarelyblue- Bobby is a jerk, but even jerks are people sometimes, and are deeper than you think, you’re right…
I don’t think names need to be changed between male or female. Names are just names, they don’t have a gender If Bobby- female- wants to spell it that way, why shouldn’t she?
Plus, the character’s had that name from the very beginning of my planning this series, it would be hard to change it now. Think it would confuse me during writing
Another quick update
Finally finished the the scene variations for Chapter 5. Took longer than they should have, considering they all work from the same basis for the scene, but I wanted to make sure it fitted with the individual character, whilst also getting in the stuff that scene needed to get across.
Also, I wanted to put in a little bit of romance to the scenes for each LI if people choose it- just a tiny touch, to give people a sense of what that character’s potential romance would be like- but Mason/Morgan was being a pain in the bum!
I think I rewrote their small romance bit about 15 times, because it was hard to fit with their character! I managed to finalise it in the end though, and I’m pretty darn happy with it- it really does suit him/her the best, and give a hint of what that romance will be like.
There’s not another big scene split until Chapter 6, so I should be a bit quicker finishing off Chapter 5 now.
Question. Can me and my vampire husband (not sure which one yet, I’ll probably have to do a play through for each of them) adopt Douglas. He is my son. I love him and I want to protect him.
Then hope with all your might that the person the killer attacked was not him (though the descriptions seems similar; could be 50/50 chance of it being the poor kid).
While I’m not going to adopt him myself, my Detective is certainly going to be hunting the killer with even deadlier resolve if Doug was attacked by the killer. No one lays a hand on the people of Wayhaven on his watch, and anyone who harms the people he knows is clearly asking for a death wish,
He daydreams about making her hair rainbow-colored, finally being able to call her an egotistical princess to her face, casually reminding her that she can mock him for being a simple detective all she wants but it doesn’t change the fact that the leader of the government-funded group has not been even remotely close to catching the killer to begin with, her falling into a ditch…
The only thing I can imagine is somebody trying to pet A and them biting said person’s hand…and then they may start purring. Maybe…if that person has tasty blood I guess…
