Well, at least we all agree N making smoochy noises at a dog is the best N scene (no, no one can convince me otherwise—anyway, I digress…).
I’m a sappy romantic, I love that crap. I sip it up more greedily than the angst, and tbh I think N’s route is gonna have both in spades and I’m so looking forward to it.
Funnily enough F used to be my last choice while N was my first and now that the full game is put it’s the complete opposite. The only route I haven’t paid any real attention to is the love triangle and that’s 'cause they’re just not my thing. I found Felix’s reactions when shit started to hit the fan super sweet and heartbreaking and I’m all for fluff and sunshine so for now F is probably my favorite.
Honestly there is usually one or two LI’s that I just flat-out don’t like but Sera has done a tremendous job making all the characters interesting so my favorite tends to flip-flop around a bit, so I’m not really sure which route I’ll do first.
I never do this. (maybe I should) My thought was “Oh, we’re a detective. Better detective it up!” Which is how Emma happened. She just so happened to fit A’s personality really well, and boom. R O M A N C E
I tend to tailor my detectives to fit their Ro’s personality if I can, which is…I dunno, just something I seem to like to do.
You know, as much as I sort of miss college, I also sort of… don’t. (High school was a bigger pain, though.) So, good luck with that.
A random thought I’ve had (did I or someone else already bring this one up? Otherwise, I’ll just scrap this): detectives returning to a semi-normal life. Cases in Wayhaven having nothing to do with the supernatural. No murders. Just a few misdemeanors. Would our detectives feel more relaxed or bored (or feel weird after facing death like that)?
Charlotte prefers dealing with smaller cases like missing garden gnomes(cough shameless plug *cough), but being Rebecca’s daughter, she’s more than capable of stepping up ot the plate when it comes to supernatural and felony cases.
My second and subsequent runs through a game I branch out a bit, but the first time is just me reacting to things, so I totes shot A and have no regrets. After the trial run and I’ve observed everyone’s personalities, I create new characters more tailored to who I’m interested in next. So I’ve played through everyone’s route, but my favorites usually still align with my preferences in real life.
Henry prefers easier detective work. He’s still getting used to supernaturals, and would prefer not to see another dead body in his life. He would step up without hesitation if there was a real threat, though.
TBH, I’d do it again. I imagine my MC trying to requisition a taser the next time A says something dismissive and goes to brood in front of the window.
Sienna would like the normalcy, since she’s still kinda reeling from learning that the supernatural are real. It’d be something familiar to her and give her time to adjust. And give her ample time to read up on supernatural lore so she has somewhat of an idea what to expect. She prefers smaller cases though to larger ones, but steps up when she needs to.
Blaire would find it boring just because the supernatural is too exciting to just ignore. However, he would enjoy how easy the job is since he’s really laid back. He’s quick on his feet and very flexible when it comes to sudden situations so he would step up if more pressing crimes came up.
My main MC, Evan, would definitely be kinda bored. He lives for the thrills, and is the kinda guy that would deliberately threaten their own life if it meant having fun (basically, A’s worst nightmare and the exact opposite of myself IRL). But he’d not dwell on it, since no supernaturals = much safer Wayhaven, and his first priority is always looking out for the town.
I have since switched to pepper spray in subsequent playthroughs, because while I do know that I can’t really hurt A and this is a fictional circumstance, I live in the US and we have a nasty history/present regarding police shootings and I can’t disassociate the two incidents…
Emma and Cassandra would be very relieved. (Emma because it would mean the town was safer and she could breathe easier, Cassandra for the same reason but also because she’s not big on confrontation.)
Hayden is a bit of a thrill seeker so she’d be pretty bored, but again kinda relieved that the town was safer.
Sammy…would swap between the two. She thinks supernatural junk is pretty cool, but dang can it be scary…
I have only two detectives so far. One to romance F and the other to romance M.
The one romancing F is headstrong, quite independent and “I can handle it myself”. Is not that she doesn’t mean well with UB, but because she wants to prove to herself she is capable of it, specially because she knows she didn’t deserve the Detective position. With all this, I imagine my MC being kinda traumatized and feelings as if she was raped by Murphy when he forcefully drank from her and all the stuff. I don’t know if Sera will give is the opportunity to play it off like this, but if she does, I will go for it (also love that good angst with cheerful F being faced with such a real and hard experience).
The MC romancing M is a ball of sunshine. She does kick ass and stabbed Murphy, but one of her biggest qualities is her eternal optimisim. Is not like she is a naive, she is perfectly aware of the world being fucked up in many ways, but she is a firm believer that you can get through it and see the good thing in the world. So, right after all the Murphy stuff, she was already with a smile on her face and ready (not according to the doctor ) to kick ass again
Alexa (Adam run) would feel a bit restless and bored, would patrol the streets just to do something but a bit relaxed because it means everything is a-okay.
Lisbeth (Mason run) would feel relaxed but would probably spend most of her time doing science.
Teresa ( Nate run) would feel bored of not doing anything so she will research more about the supernatural.
Surina (Felix run) would feel very relaxed and lounge about and happy that she’s alive!
Samir would actually be okay with returning to a normal life but it might also be kind of boring too. On the plus side, though he could go back to helping the people of Wayhaven out more directly without worrying about crazy Supernatural Shenanigans. Though he would always be ready for crazy stuff to pop up now that he knows and can be prepared for it.
Rin would love it, honestly. Not needing to be paranoid 24/7 would be really nice for her. She’d probably be mad if things did start getting crazy again because, dang it, she just got to finally relax and now some pixie want her blood?? Screw that.
F has a fan base! What we lack in size we make up for in enthusiasm!!
