IRL I would struggle to get close enough to A and M to bother, honestly. due to their attitudes.
In-game, F can come on rather strong sometimes, but certainly turns adorable when is shown friendship instead.
A seems more scared to show emotions and potentially lose control, in my own potentially deluded view.
M, oh boy, he is so aggressive and forward, but I suspect he - to an even greater extent - keeps people away, and will probably never lose his -very- rough edges.
I do have more than one (!) detective for each of them, though…

Gotta say I feel you there. F mostly struck me as a really good friend. 
Even with my F MC, they feel closer to friends that flirt than anything else so far.

While that should be normal in any form of romantic relationship. With F it just doesnt advance beyond “Friends” to me.

True, true. Maybe the next book will make me shift my opinion more towards the romance. But for now they just scream friend to me, I dunno. Even flirting with them feels more like friends play flirting to me.

You sound like you got what you want backwards. I never got a older sibling vibe from N. I think you mean F. F feels more like a Sibling than anything else.

Um… No? I don’t see F as a sibling. I have an older sister and N kind of reminds me of her in some ways. It’s just how I see it.
