I’m really not a fan of jealousy as a plot device (or jealousy in any situation, really, especially when something supernaturally compelling is involved) so I personally hope we won’t be getting any situations like that, but to each their own I suppose

I wouldn’t want it either. But in a romance oriented story it’s going to happen at some point.

Y’all are too over sensitive when it comes to Bobby, their an ass but I actually em. Perfect little middle ground of a character that’s just too good to not hate.

Why? Why does it have to happen? There’s literally no reason for that (other than in a circumstance like, say, the love triangle). It’s perfectly doable to write relationships without jealousy, and I hope Sera’s going to take that route

I’m pretty certain it’s going to happen eventually because as I said emotions don’t make sense. We feel things even if we don’t want too. It’s a sadly natural part of loving someone in that way.
They could do something completely innocent and you’re aware it’s nothing serious but you’d still feel jealous anyways.
Though I’ll refrain from commenting on it further as Jealousy is a bit of a sore topic with a lot of people. Myself included.
If we were faced with an incubus/succubus I think the reaction of the RO would be far from jealousy and only actual concern that they may harm the MC.
They are clever enough to know that the MC would not be doing anything willingly, so, why would they get jealous?
Also, I don’t think is a subject that needs to appear in the books. Sera’s visual novels don’t have jealous moments that I can remember, so, I wouldn’t be surprised if this wasn’t any different.

Honestly, reporters can be quite insensitive towards people just for the news. And I don’t really like them much due to my personal experiences with them. That’s a long story but the summary is that one of the local reporters was so insensitive that she actually reported my uncle’s death in a fire before the police could tell anyone in my family. Naturally that caused a shitstorm in my family.

Not all news reporters are assholes, but I do agree. I generally don’t like them.
Ontop of that for my MC Bobby is an Ex. I hate my ex’s. Well most of them. So naturally I hate her, you had your chance woman, you went and messed it up. Stay out of my life!
@Meira_Litch If she actually manages to do it 7 books through without jealousy showing up in any way, I will be thoroughly impressed to be honest. I hope she does prove me wrong! But I’m also not trying to say that Jealousy is a bad thing. I’m trying to say it’s illogical and we can feel it even if we don’t want too. I’ve actually gotten closer to my current girlfriend after I felt jealous and we talked it out. It might be a negative feeling but you can spin it into a positive end result!

Meh I’ve never had a shit ex, but it’s fun to role play otherwise. Still it’s just a game though

So little note I want to make on the Jealousy incubi/sucubi discussion is this. Just personal opinion mind you, but I doubt jealousy will be a thing BUT protective I can. Sera actually did a scenario at a club where there are people trying to push themselves/harassing the MC. They don’t get jealous, but they do get pissed off at someone not taking no for an answer. So I see it less a thing they would get jealous over, but more the fact angry that if their powers did work on the MC they would be essentaly trying to manipulate them into something they might not want and further more have no problem being sleezy to an MC that might not want that. It’s more the danger and skeevyness might be what pulls an agresive if not at least sharp reaction from them directed at this perosn.

Knowing F? They were trying to poke the bear. They did try pheromones but they weren’t using it to force seduction it was to mask the MC scent. But yeah they were just joking around/poking the proverbial bear.

Yeah I figured as much. F does love practical jokes. I’ll always cherish that scene where F kicks in the door at the hospital and brought us balloons. That was really nice of her lol

Don’t take me wrong, I enjoy some fun jealous scenes as long is never something that causes actual discomfort, more of a slight annoyance and pissed off type, but never nothing serious.
Is just that I think that there is no difficulty in writing romance genre without jealousy getting involved. I have read so so many romance novels and jealous never appear…
And as I said before, if I remember correctly, jealous is not a tool Sera really uses. Her romances always have tragedy (with happy ending, of course), but jealousy is never the trigger.

Morgan romance= Michael Winchester (a huge nod to the tv show Supernatural)
I find Bobby delightful. My MC doesn’t like him very much but I can’t wait to see what kind of tricks he pulls in the next books. Especially if he somehow finds out that supernatural beings exist! He’d probably see it as his ticket to a Pulitzer Prize.
I’m actually more interested in the ex-friend dynamic than ex-boyfriend/girlfriend Bobby. Being betrayed by your friend is no less painful than by your partner.
Agreed! All the vampires strike me as more protective than anything else. I think they all respect the Detective enough to trust their judgment. But pity the fool who tries to mess with the MC in any way.

Finally finish my first playthrough with Adam so yay! So far I like it, especially the choices! There were quite a variety of choices that I look forward to trying it out for my next playthrough for Mason. I could almost join in the discussion in terms of plotlines. XD
