I’m telling ya. Just try to imagine both Adam and Ava in 1 room trying to establish dominance over one another. Mountains would crack and skies would fall under all those death glares and amount of sheer ego per square inch, lol
Static electricity in the air would be enough to power up a small country for a year or two
I usually think of them as their female counterparts. My first run-through was with the guys, but I preferred the female unit and so that’s the one I usually play. Then I just got used to it.
But if I’m talking to my mom, I vary between referring between them as male, female and their initials.
Oh, I highly doubt that. People like A, when introduced to a group that has some kind of task before it, absolutely need to ensure to take the control and be the leader. Second-in-command simply won’t cut it, that’s in their blood, that’s how they work.
You’ve seen the drama A caused with detective at first meeting at the station. You’d think: “Hey, let the detective think they’re in charge and leave 'em to their toys. Just watch them and keep appearances. Besides, Rebecca gave an order to play nice”. But nope, not after a long friggin while and some dumb decisions made.
And then comes a situation where A meets another A, and boy, that’s another ball park altogether. They may eventually work something out but not until they go through a major conflict of power or two.
I have to disagree, A doesn’t interfere with other units in the agency, and if another A was there, they would let them command their unit and they would stick to their own. They would work as equals, not rivals. See how they don’t have a problem with Rebecca being their superior. They are not their leader and never will, and they are cool with it.
Other units (as far as book 1 goes) are not A’s concern or responsibility. Not until the need to work together arises. Then a direct superior can address the issue by giving an order, by which both A’s will have to comply.
And if that superior is smart, they wouldn’t mix two units together in the first place, imo.
Rebecca is their established superior and we know that A respects structure. Presumably, she did something to earn A’s trust long ago, so naturally A is cool with her.
And now, imagine if two equal units meet with no higher up to tell them what to do. No clear chain of command, two huge ego’s on both sides - it’s a recipe for a squabble.
Is not. A are not stupid. They are clever enough to know the other A’s unit is not theirs. There is no reason at all for a conflict apart that want to add free drama. Also, it will be extremely easy to simply go and speak with the Rebecca that exist in that world to follow orders.
Also, I don’t see why A would not respect A. They would literally come up with the same ideas and decision, and we know how nice they are when someone has the same opinions as them.
They would definitely be quick to work together and efficiently.
Besides, the idea of two M’s having sexual intercourse with each other doesn’t sit well with me, to be honest. It reminds me too much of incest, which it can actually be categorized as if you ask me.
Please, don’t think I am judging anyone, for I am not. You are all sweeties, in my opinion. I just like to utter my own opinion and feelings in most of the discussions, including this one (obviously).
However, I do see the two M’s sharing their latest one nightstands with each other.
Thank god, scenarios like this are very unlikely to happen in the books… I would feel extremely uncomfortable, I believe.
I was just speaking from experience, when I was in military and being around people like A a lot, for quite a while. It’s just the picture of power clashing described above is so familiar and clicks into place rather intuitively in my mind.
Alright, let’s agree to disagree then. Or maybe until Sera will come here and settle this little dispute
Adam/Ava is very respectful of chains of command. If Adam and Ava were in charge of their own respective Unit Bravos, then there would be no issue.
But if the two teams had to combine to form one large Unit Bravo, there may be a massive issue about leadership then. It wouldn’t come to fist-fighting, but there would be a lot of tension and sniping remarks. Until Rebecca came in and decided it—then whoever wasn’t leader would respect that decision (though likely they would still silently be upset about it, lol).
Farah and Felix would definitely get up to intense amounts of fun/mischief that Nate and Nat would both be sighing about, though they’d at least have 4 hands between them to keep Felix and Farah nearby and out of trouble.
Mason and Morgan…I can’t see the two getting along that well. Of them all, they’d be the most likely to end up in a proper full-out fight.
Yeah, this is exactly right Any superior in The Agency would be sensible and smart enough to never pair Unit Bravo with another unit.
Only just back from break today and saw this discussion, so thought I would add a reply to help!
I’m wondering if M will have some kind of… “attitude” change? She does sound kind of… rude, more or less. Might improve a reader’s mood if she’d be more open. Unless this is really the idea, everyone’s got their own personality, I can make do with that.
Quick, dumb question: Are we able to have more than one save file/completed playthrough? And then pick whichever one we want to continue in subsequent books? I wasnt able to see this in the FAQ just whether or not there was a save/reload system in place.
Yes, you will have the option of choosing which save file to continue with.
However, save files are uploaded to CoG servers and cannot be deleted. Sera has no control over that.
Thanks for bringing that up, I’ll add it to the FAQ asap!

You can reply to multiple people using @ and their username.
And I believe you double posted on accident, mind deleting one of them?
That is interesting! I had not expected this at all, to be honest.
One would think that they would actually appreciate the other’s way of being silent, rude, same kind of humour, etcetera. Now I am wondering what exactly would make them fight each other… The attitude/opinion that ‘there can only be one’, or is it dominance? I cannot really imagine the latter, since M does listen to those they respect. But then that would mean that they don’t respect themselves…? And that just cannot be correct, right…?
