M: Then don’t go, it’s a waste of time.

Kid: Yay! Thanks, Mom/Dad! runs off

I come back from a long day at work and see all of this.
I choked on my dinner.
I love this fandom.

I think Sera doesn’t realize what beautiful insanity she created. XD

I actually had a headcanon that MC’s dad was a supernatural too a unicorn in fact, i forget who posted the whole unicorn theroy on here but it would make sense that the muation would have to come from somewhere and if Rebecca doesn’t have it, MC’s father must have had the genes to past it down y’know. Just my take cghjk

Unless the mutation skips generations and Rebecca carries it as a genome.

I think that was me?

Thats the theory that stuck, bless this fandom.

And I hate to be the spoil sport here but Sera said this:

I think my dad had the mutation and Murphy killed him theory just got killed :sob:

On the upside my Dad’s trapped in the Echo World theory has yet to be disproven.

That said, now that I’m winding down for the night, aka my brain is mellowing out and isn’t a jumbled goddamn mess, I’m thinking he was probably just killed by some sort of malevolent supernatural that Unit!B was supposed to stop and Rebecca helped kill them in revenge for it killing her husband and then she joined the Agency to make sure it never happened again yeah, Rebecca’s basically a mix between John Winchester from Supernatural and Batman.

EDIT: I just ate a pudding cup so my sugar is super high and oh shit you guys what if it’s both? Details at 11!

And my N is a former (or secretly. current??) cult member is STILL ON THE TABLE!

But, yeah, your probably right. But if Murphy was part of a group or is part of a group then maybe another member killed him?

I wouldn’t get past that there will be a resistance group due to the way the supernaturals are being controlled and contained.

I’m still not 100% convinced Murphy was part of a group. Granted, we don’t know his backstory–hell, we don’t even know his real name–but something tells me that he would have never been a joiner, even if it was like-minded individuals. Scratch that, especially if it was like-minded individuals. No matter what Lex Luthor says, a league of supervillains is a terrible idea because they all want to be king and no one wants to serve, it’s (legion of) doomed from the start.

I’m holding out that there’s an underground network/society of supernaturals who want nothing to do with the Agency, perhaps there’s even many of them, some who exclusively help supernaturals live in this crazy world, others who help humans but don’t want to be beholden to the bureaucracy or torture-y-ness of the Agency, or still others who do both

Caging is pretty harsh, and I would even call it unethical. That’s some war crime-level torture when simply killing them, because come on, there has to be a way, would be kinder. I wouldn’t blame supernaturals for wanting an end to that. Imagine being falsely imprisoned.

I agree with you 100% @resuri08

Sera gave us many, many possible negative reactions to learning about the Agency’s punishment for a reason. That scene was to show that Rebecca is committed to her cause, but also to show that the Detective might not agree with her.

I desperately, desperately want to know what the team’s thoughts regarding the Agency’s punishment are, but I’m certain they’re spoiler-ish and she’ll have to give me a non-answer. Rebecca may think it’s justified because she’s either lost someone close to an unchecked supernatural (or if we’re way off, she almost lost the MC to an unchecked supernatural), but who knows about the actual supernaturals. We don’t know who it is that signed these treaties, but if they’re anything like humans, then they don’t necessarily speak for every supernatural, only a majority (if that).

I mean, Sera said she doesn’t like to write things that are really heavy, so maybe not?

This might actually happen!

@Hannah_Minger She is also a melodramatic writer. XD She admitted it in her tumblr. Looks for the angst hashtag. XD
