MC: “very loud” Hey M! Have you check this book?
M: “following the game” Oh yes, I am reading it at the moment.
MC: is pretty cool, huh?
“Both looking at N, who starts lurking to the mention of books”
MC: Anyway “with open book”, I just finished chapter 17, I’m looking forward to the rest, but for now, time to go back to work. "N is looking, M and MC turn to face him with an evil smile on their faces"
M: Yes, we are all busy here, better keep working.
“MC starts to dog ear the book, N comes running and snaps the book from her hands, eyes wide”
“MC and M start laughing so much they even cry a little”
"N walks away without a word, comes back within a minute with a bookmark, silently give it back to the Detective, shudders and leave mumbling something about “savages and barbarians”
Can I just say that I’m rather thrilled that the MC might have to deal with some trauma after the Murphy ordeal. Well, thrilled is the wrong word but it’s still…nice?
Just…I know, I’m late…but I hate dog ears on books! Or comics, or anything on paper! I’m very jelous of my books, comics and manga…
I have a range of bookmarks, of every type and material… but I would use anything to not harm my books!
I’ve dog earred a menu once out of habit, N would dump me on the spot. They’re such a darling, tbh, I’ve really gotta finish their route and stop just replaying A’s.
So, I just wanted to say how much I loved this game/book. Just one word: amazing!
I haven’t read anything like this for ages and really regret that I didn’t do it earlier. I added the WIP of this game to my favorites’ list long-long ago, but skipped it every time for some reason. Now I have completed all routes in the full version and, gosh, I loved just everything! The characters are well-developed and it is easy to find one that you will love. The main characters have lots of options to answer with, so I was able to shape the person I wanted and not just some generic Mary-Sue.
And I just applause for how the romantic scenes were written! Dear author, you are now among my most beloved writers for both HoG and COG titles. The way you were able to develop absolutely all types of responses - from shy or cold ones to hot and aggressive ones - that is worth praising.
I am now waiting for the second book in the series. The only titles I have ever wanted to read so much were Way Walkers: University and Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven.
I wish you good luck in everything you do and a lot of inspiration! Thank you very much for this amazing book that made my days brighter Oh, and the Love Triangle option…I.Love.It! I absolutely love it!
I’ve got just one question:
Why is there only 1 love triangle? As far as I understood, the characters are paired by personality, at least in some way. Nate and Adam are calm and follow the rules, while Mason and Felix are everything but law abiding citizens. Their personalities might be too selfish to accept sharing or hiding their emotions, like Adam does, but I still think that the MC/Mason/Felix triangle might have been possible. And it would be a VERY difficult situation for the MC to deal with, I assume ^^”.
Sera was asked about and she said that if M discovered F likes the same girl, he would back out instantly. Understandable, since M don’t bother with complications since they are no-strings attached persons initially.
Ah, that explains it Thank you for the answer! I didn’t have a chance to read the previous messages in this topic, so this question was bugging me for some time now.
P.S. Also, I corrected a pretty bad mistake in my previous message to the author: I AM waiting for the next book now, even more than I am waiting for the summer holidays
I’ve just finished Felix’s route. Cute, cute and fluffy (like I imagine Felix’s hair). More mature than expecter, but full of humor.
I’ve really appreciated it, and I wasn’t sure I would have, since I’m not usually into the young-ish joking kind of characters. But F. is actually very well balanced with an almost unexpected maturity.
Very good character.
I’m very curious about how it will evolve in the next books.
Now, I should go with the only route I still haven’t tryed…the love triangle (il triangolo nooo, non l’avevo considerato! Ah-ehm… sorry…Italians or Renato Zero fans will understand…)
…I am not so sure Morgan would care enough to help my detective… She is more like, “get your ass out of bed, sweetheart, I want to watch it sway as you walk.”
Since M will only care for the detective later in the books.
But the rest of the RO would probably be kind and helping, all in their own beautiful ways.
I think M does grow to care for the detective as a friend over the course of the first book, esp. if the detective takes the time to interact with them. And obviously the sexual feelings are there. The romantic ones come later, though. Until then, I think for them it’s a “friends with benefits” situation.
I’d put money on the fact I’m sure in later books when M realize they have romantic feelings for the MC it’s going to be like.
M:…Fuck, someone slap me!
N: M, I don’t think-
F: I got you, buddy! -slaps M- So why are we slapping you now?
M:…-starts hitting their head on the table in defeat, muttering about can die while frikin’ sneezing and other lines of thought that makes no sense to anyone but M.-
F:…I think I broke her/him…
That is very true. But even though Morgan starts to feel more for the detective, on a romantic and friendly basis, throughout the first book. She still has her distant and no-strings-attached attitude at the end of it. Which is completely fine, I mean, M is very honest about it. So my detective has no problems with it, despite being aware that she is falling hard for Morgan.
It just makes me think that M would not care enough yet. OR(!) that she ignores her feelings and fakes disinterest.
Out of curiosity: I’m finding myself a little undecided on the next run (triangle). I don’t know if I should create a new character (for now every vampire had a different detective) or play again with one of the two girls that I’ve played to romance N. and A. What did you do?
I’m thinking about going with Jade (my favourite detective, romance A) and just treat this run as an alternative of the A. run, but I guess is a bad way to see this…
