@MahatmaDagon I chose the “lie” choice or pretending to join noyedas’ battle. This seems to have no effect even though my stats where enough when I peeked at the code. Also, I can’t seem to find it in other scenes that follows after. What only works is the variable betraysielcner but no pretendingtojoinsomething.
@ProGameGeo
@Norilinde
@Dloading
Thanks for the reports! I have uploaded the fixes.
@Anibal
I had them killed there for two main reasons. The first one is more or less an assumption based on the intended design of the game, where the idea was that no matter what you do you can never have too big of an advantage against the enemy to the point where a significant number your soldiers would not die in the battle. Killing them there serves the purpose of representing that as well, instead of just killing no-named characters or letting the player have absolute control of who lives or dies in the chaos of battle.
The second is to help cut down some possibilities. If they are dead, I don’t have to worry about doing new scenes with them. ![]()
First batch of new endings are the ones where you don’t actually die the first time you are at the Summit, but instead wake up a few days earlier.
Second batch of new endings are related to another version of the confrontation with Daedros, which requires not informing the people who are to be killed. Here you will choose to join the Triple Chalice or not, with the possibility of a quick betrayal.
Somewhere between those two there is also an ending where you visit Dullis and interact with whoever inherited the title after the deaths of Dulsen and Daedros.
The female one requires you to point out a contradiction in Jenneth’s reasoning. It also requires that she is not wounded during the previous fight, and that you are not married.
You need to suggest that she becomes your Queen, and then she will say that this would be insane, etc…
Then you need to choose:
“You said it yourself. There is no one else to oppose me now.”
As for the male one, I don’t think I ever implemented that, but I’m not sure. I remember this being discussed before.
It depends entirely on the HG publishing queue after I manage to send it to them, but it usually takes up a while.
There are more or less specific prompts that may not appear in all types of playthroughs.
Jenneth: either join Noyedas and receive her at your tent before the big battle or reach a specific interaction in one of the endings of the game with her.
Vradnir: accept the joint attack against the Sons of the Snake in Boglan and receive him in your tent.
There is at least one(but I think two) possible endings where this creates some heavy consequences. I think to reach one fo them you need to have suffered the rebellion and/or stay with your treasury on the negative as you reach the end of teh game.
I took a look at the variables through different .txts. You are right, choosing to lie right there had no effect other than making him believe you were betraying him(a different variable was being tested later), but you could still betray him later during different opportunities, such as when he requires your spouse to be taken captive(if you are married), or by sending a letter to Lord Dulsen telling him that he must be ready to join you against the man.
I have changed the code so that, if you are pretending from the start, the game acknowledges that accordingly.
edit:
@Norilinde Sorry, forgot to answer you:
No, but that is a good place to put it. I’ve been looking for alternatives.
Thanks for the fix. Also, minor suggestion: can you maybe rewrite the prophecy lines for the color black. It’s kinda awkward to read descriptions that uses phrases like “shines brighter than the rest” or something. I mean black is black. Idk if you’re doing some final edit but if you do, you can just ignore this.
Oh, you are right. I’ll come up with something different for that color. And don’t worry, I’ll keep updating the game for as long as I am allowed to!
Congratulation for finishing this project
I know this is pretty much finished and I’ve loved it but I would put in a scene with the wife/husband you are married to before you go off to fight the battle as they would worry if they like/love you. (and maybe one as you return)
Other then that very good work and can’t wait for the release and the sequel.
Hey folks, there are going to be some changes in the way games are saved.
As some of you might be aware of, the saving plugin I’m using in the game( CJW’s smPluginMenuAddon) was only meant to be a temporary thing, for the purpose of beta testing. It can’t be carried to the final version of the game.
But worry not! I’ve contacted @RETowers and she was kind enough to provide me with a custom saving routine for the game, which means that people will be able to save and load their games even after it gets published.
1 - Saving now happens in the “Court Hub” section, at the bottom of the list. The option is called (Save System).
2 - There is only one slot, which gets overridden every time you save the game. (I think I might be able to add more slots later)
3 - I’ll be removing the other saving method in the next couple of days. I’m giving the heads up so that people who may want to transfer their saves to the new system are able to do so.
4 - I’ve tested the new saving system myself, but I’m hoping that more people test it so I can be sure it is working as intended.
I appreciate all the support. Thank you.
I think there’s a pre-battle scene with Hereya. I could do the same with the others, shouldn’t be that much of a trouble. I’ll keep it with the previous annotations for when I update the game.
Yay👍🏼, that mean this game mechanic will not change to much
Just played it through for the first time. This was great. I really enjoyed this story. Can’t wait to play it again,
Anyone wants to suggest a scene I could take a screenshot of? I need to get five of those for the stores.
Meeting the tracker in the woods while hunting the otherworldly beast.
Choosing what legacy your father left behind (greedy, lawful, war-like, or kind)
The scene where you hear about the falling star and decide what to do about it
I am stuck there is a scene where I am straight up killed .
How about a scene where your MC gets married?
The scene leading up to the otherworldly beast, when you find the dead bodies strewn in front of your soldiers.
Hey quick question I keep getting assianated bu a servant shortly after my wedding I was just wondering was that made into the game or was the a way to avoid that but other than that I love the game so far
Anyone know how to:
. Get the leather armor of the Abyssal Beast?
.Actually win the damn war with Noyedas?
You should get an option after the people from the Chruch come for the body or maybe before you go to the lord summit.
Ps you have to keep the body of the beast
Pick the fight between Mc noyedas
Re the abyssal armor: I made the star sword, killed the beast, brought the body home, avoided the camp on the way home, I’ve kept the body hidden from the church/inquisition, and never had the opportunity to make the armor.
