The War for the West [Releasing Nov 14]

first you need to make a sword out of the asteroid rock then equip it from the armory in the stats bar

You cant. You can either survive it or die trying or surrender.

I think with the new update we are able to. That’s why I was asking

how do you fight the huge knight though? I’ve tried many times!

In addition to the starblade, it looks like you also need knowledge/lore at least 30.

The relevant source code is from aHunt.txt.

*label keepFighting
You decide to keep fighting.

*if ((weapon = "starblade") and (lore >= 30))
There is an idea in your head. A connecting that seems to make sense, at least to you: If you can hit the central part of the monster's body with your sword, which is made from fragments of the fallen star, it will die.

More men die, and many of those who fight and those who flee share the same fate, for the devilish creature does not intend on letting anyone go, stretching its dark limbs unnaturally over all the surfaces and extensions of the cave.

*if combat >= 50
You run towards the abomination, each step a struggle, avoiding or cutting down the parts that go towards you, until you find yourself in the heart of the darkness.
 *goto theVoid

*if combat < 50
 *set hurt true
One of them catches you and quickly pulls you closer to the core of the thing, crushing the bones of your waist and torso in its dark embrace. Still, your hands are free, and you carve your ${weaponName} deep in the upper part of its amorphous body.
 *goto theVoid

*label theVoid
*if (weapon = "starblade")
 *goto iWin

*else
 *goto iLose
If your combat is 40 or higher:

#Try to keep avoiding his strikes and tire him out.
followed by
#Step on his arm for support and carve your sword in his nape, between his helmet and his gorget.

If your combat is at least 26 and your social is at least 40:
#Try to lure him to the embrasure and make him fall from the edge of the walls.

@MahatmaDagon

Here are some typos in the latest version.

Kenrir says that he has been watching over the place as well, and confirms the report. When he understand what your plan is, he is quite impressed, for he never seen explosives before.

It should be understands and he has never seen.

I had to use different machines in the last few months, and I ended up losing the changelogs. I don’t rightly know what were the changes, so I’m considering just leaving as it is and write “final version”.

@FauxCoeur I don’t know why you are getting the error in the image. Did you save/load the game at some point during that conversation? I’ll try to replicate this either way.

I can raise those numbers. I’m not thinking of a good reason as to why I shouldn’t.

Thanks for the reports. I’ll be fixing them shortly.

edit:

In addition to the starblade, it looks like you also need knowledge/lore at least 30.

This is only required to get the flavor text about “having an idea”, it does not change the result of the battle.

I started a fresh playthrough, and no I saved a playthrough at the point when fighting daedros

do any of you know if there is a way to avoid jail if you dont bow to the King? it seems like all the choices have the same outcome no matter what… and thats kinda useless to have choices if u end up in jail anyway.

You can’t escape that fate

So I had this

when I dreamed about being killed in the summit, give jenneth poison (taking her with me to summit) and after finishing dialogue with some bitch (Lady Frogster)

Wow, my ending sure did surprise me lol.

I tried to get Jenneth to not commit once I killed the shitty son, but no matter what I did she offed herself then the story ended :pensive:. Is there any way for me to prevent this?

Yep, having the same problem.

Started new story, beat Lord Noy without having to surrender once good, had high enough social to not die when I got stabbed and was able to wake up from my “death”. But then the game glitched, now I can’t pass this part

I got done dirty :pensive:

Also, some minor spelling errors here:

I’m not sure what was causing that problem, but I think I managed to fix it by removing the sub to that specific scene and putting it all in the same .txt . Thanks for the reports, everyone!

You can convince him to consider your proposal, then you will remain as a guest and given a room in the castle instead of being sent to jail. To do that you have to get on his good side(I think it is related to bowing first) and having good Social.

Thank you. Will be sending the fixes along.

I’m still getting the glitch, I just wanna know if its fixed or not/if I should restart my save file in order for it to be fixed lol

A little recommendation: Instead of having the title just saying “updated” maybe you should put the date as well?

Oh wait, I thought the big was only happening on the Lady Sessanah scene. I’ll likely be able to fix it for the whole thing today. I’ll tell you guys when it is done, thanks for the report and sorry for the misunderstanding.

Edit: Done. I’m uploading the files now. I don’t know why those errors have been popping up just recently, since the files are around 7 months old and many players have been through those parts already, but it should be working fine now.

@AbelGijon
You should always either be arrested or go to your quarters as a guest before he is killed.

When does that scene happen? In my game the King always dies without any scenes

Spoiler on how I got it:There was the whole assassination thing, I died, but since my social was high enough I was in some like limbo or something and I managed to answer the question that “a lie is a always useful” or something like that, so I lied to myself that my death was a dream. I know about the assassination attempt ahead of time and I chose to still go to the ball to see the outcome.
