Although i love the new Demo, I definitely think Combat is kinda Useless as a stat that most people won’t focus on. Like even if you lose your sword, You should always have a dagger and guards around you. Even in Battlefields, Kings are always surrounded by Guards and if he loses both his sword and Guards, i doubt being a good hand to hand fighter is gonna help against spear or Swords.
In my opinion, Combat should be replaced by something that is related to Rulership like Leadership was in last Game. Or if you don’t wanna break all three being combat related maybe you can even add Joust.
Yeah I think horse riding in general could be a good third option. We already have a scenario where you could use it (I don’t know what currently decides if you win or lose against Nicolas), but we don’t have one for close combat. I feel like close combat doesn’t really fit a royal and we haven’t seen it be part of the culture like the other two.
Combat was in first one. Archery, Hunting choice to come back with a deer in late game. Impresses whatever nonsense that is. It is nonsense to me but not to some.
Both books. We praise and accept the swords rule! Yet, nope, gotta rebel, each, time.

Regarding the stats, i think it’d make more sense to have the current different combat specializations rolled into just one, and instead have something like combat/politics/knowledge as archetypes for the MC (the warrior-king, scholar king and your usual lying, scheming politician) which could come up in wider range of situations. It would also fit more with the choices in early game where you pick between spending time in library or in the field.
But then we haven’t seen that much of the rewrite yet, so maybe these combat things will play some actual role at some point.
How am I unhinged? As I’ve said the language that was used seemed rude to me, it didn’t come as as a genuine criticism and I’m allowed to have a discussion and state my opinion in regards to that. And I do enjoy challenge in IFs games.

Anyway there’s a few things I just wanted to mention real quick. 1st thing is that it seems my favorite and most overlooked character Ezra has been written out. Always wished she was a RO but it is what it is. Besides Maevra seems like she’d be a good option anyway.
2nd ngl I kinda always wished that there was more interaction between the MC and Isabelle where we could treat her like another mom and make her feel conflicted about any hostility she has for us. On a side note really loving how we get to interact with Charles more in this rewrite.
Lastly even in the original I felt there are a lot of times when you can’t make fair decisions that still stay true to idealistic MC’s like for example the scene with the thief the only options are 1) ruin the thief’s life for the rest of his life, 2) reward both parties for the theft or 3) assault the victim. There’s no option to, in my opinion, properly handle the situation such as have the thief work til he pays back what he stole three or five times over while letting him keep enough money to feed himself and his brother or something

Welcome back. I guess this the the year of dead games coming back. First 7 kingdom princess problems gets relased then you return . I wounder what else we return out of no where. I cannot wait to play the demo.
I think this is superb rewrite, it’s explore the side of character that never been explored, if I am going to suggest something it is more interaction with the character that currently lacking like Isabelle and Matteo, maybe Author already have this covered later if that’s the case then ignore this suggestion.
I wouldn’t say original sword of rhivenia is a dead game, the original already catch the difficulty of ruling and the feeling of picking difficult choice.
I often find none of the option is correct judgement like case with Astryn it’s either let her die in dungeon or let her roam around potentially causing incident.
I am more of opinion to put Astryn in house arrest but that option is unavailable.
The choice somehow feel like it’s bad either way.
Picking orphan after the poison event, it is between two extreme either straight adoption or let the orphan go, I am more of opinion to let orphan stay maybe in one of maid room, maybe giving the orphan future like working in the castle as soldier or maid or whatever orphan wanted to do.
I mean their was a long time when hear anything from the author and we weren’t sure we would get a book two. That was what i meant a long silent. And no body expect a remake of book one. I something to be happy about for sure, but just a massive suprise that’s all.

i always find exciting between their relationship,not gonna lie,when i find out about what Matteo did,i don’t care about any romance i can do and just straight up want them together.
My opinion about this remake kinda positive,make Isabel and mateo as princes and prince from another kingdom rather then peasant ia kinda nice (correct me if im wrong,last time i remember in original they both are just peasant right?) , the fact that our mother now was the second wife give us bit more understanding to her,like second wife who scare her children Will be used only for tool alliance(marriage).

The thing i find both of them is like see friendly secretly dangerous dog and a clever cat.
In original after we kill mateo,when we tell our mother there implications said “suprisingly there no hint shock and suprise in mother face, it’s like she is just want assurance”.it can be said that our mother know Mateo have feeling for her in the long time.
In this remake i kinda like where Mateo is show his care to alvena not in subtle way, he said he scare that his sister gonna kill alvena
I have a bit theory that because how manipulative and smart MC mother,i think she indirectly using Mateo as Shield to protect her from Isabel anger since she know Mateo love her
Anyway i really wish have both of them have conversation,not the big one just small conversation.

Well I would prefer those secret stay internal about what Matteo did.
I would prefer to push all actor to sit down in secret meeting for family member and talk about this and pushing for reconciliation hopefully open new page and no more nonsense intrigue to stop things spiraling out of control, we have nation to build.
All this nonsense already make my MC many decade older not going to be surprised that MC hair start greying.

Does anyone know what the ‘Power’ section on the character profile is? The only characters with that section filled are the Everans, it says they’re “Immune to the cold”.
I don’t remember that being on the game before this remake, the witches also seem way more involved in the plot this time around. I am really interested in them, love me some magic.
