Being serious (for once) I think all the ROs are pretty neat, however I feel like if we have two male ROs that are ok with polygamy we should have at least another female RO who is too, just to even it a bit.
Since I only romance girls feel like it’s lacking on that sense.
Just romance one girl per playthrough, it’s apart of their character and same for the guys. Revna is more than likely possessive because of what happened in her last relationship, and Astryn was raised where it’s frowned upon and doesn’t agree with it. Even Daemir isn’t okay with, he only allows you to marry someone else if it’s political and you have no feelings for them and won’t sleep with them, so it’s really only 2 males okay with it. Not everything with the ROs need to be equal, like the female romance routes are significantly more angsty than anything in the male ones.
I was thinking more about the ending and development of a relationship with two characters, which is something readers that only go for female ROs cannot experience and that’s a loss.
That’s questionable though. Xavier as a romance after passing through everything he did at the hands of your family plus if you let him go he promised you he’d be loyal but we don’t know his sister and neither does he, how can he keep that promise?
About Jarean he seems nice but again how did he lost that eye? He acts suspicious in my opinion in certain situations. Daemir puts duty in front of love anytime. It’s too early to classify male ROs as not as angsty as female ones, imo specially Xavier.
Editing real quick cause my phone corrected Daemir to dragon and I forgot to take the R off it xD
Non the ROs so far will not developing or be in a relationship with each other so nothing will be missed besides the MC romancing them separately and marrying both of them.
Imo based on what’s I’ve read so far they are at the moment may change later though, Revna refusing to acknowledge your kiss with her and flirting with other people which will go who knows where, Clara being wooed by your brother who she’s afraid to reject because she’s too nice, which is what I’m getting from her. Astryn despising you and being locked up for who knows how long because of the war and probably won’t be freed anytime soon unless your king or queen.
I didn’t meant for each other romantically. I meant the relationship development of MC romancing two people and going through all the drama that is both of them recognizing that, accepting and how will they deal with each other from that point on (not romantically). You’d be locking readers out of that dynamic and locking them out of seeing a ending where you can actually romance two people.
Xavier is a war prisoner that is both physically and emotionally tortured by everyone since he was a kid cause dad was a huge ass. Your family put him on that situation. Let’s not forget that at the moment of his introduction he thinks “i hope my sister doesn’t hate me” when his dad only takes him even if she’s the heir. There’s animosity between them. She could easily use him to get to the MC.
Jarean hints heavily at hiding something if you ask me. From how he had that much confidence kicking out the man in the first tavern visit, from the eye to the “you trust too easily” (if you’re a good MC).
Daemir makes for a clear answer that he will put duty over his feelings and even morals when he murders the man his sister is in love with and says that a ruler should only rule for their people. Bet won’t hesitate in going full angst if the MC doesn’t act the part.
Both sides of ROs are heavy in angst, but only the sole female route will lack an actual feature. I don’t mean to pressure the writer or make them feel uncomfortable though, I’m just pointing something that as a reader feels lacking.
We have no idea how in depth romancing 2 people are, cause so far it’s more likely you romance them separately with probably a scene where they acknowledge you dating both of them separately. You aren’t locked out of ending where you romance two people, just pick the people who are okay with it, you aren’t missing a core part of the story. Revna and Astryn shouldn’t have something that doesn’t make any sense with their character and personality added.
We have no idea but that’s still a lacking feature. If the game tells you that you can romance two people and you can only achieve that by either romancing two male ROs or a male and a female RO then it is lacking a feature for those who go female route only and that was my point since the beginning. I’m not trying to make the author change their characters, I’m just pointing that out.
I can understand that, but I’d still rather them not be changed and maybe have a political female you can marry instead of Revna and Astryn suddenly being okay with it even though it doesn’t make sense. At the end of the day though it’s really up to the author.
Absolutely love this demo! I can’t wait for the full version. I have a question though. How do I romance Daemir? No matter what I do, I can’t seem to raise the relationship stat with him much.
Of course. His memories will play a huge part in the story.
I’ve been laughing at this for minutes
Well, it’s not that easy.
Hmm, I think I have an idea
You can’t romance him in the demo.
But is it possible maybe do a coup d’etat.
I love how that makes me scared, and I’m not even planning on romancing girls!
Hehehe hi, I’m MC, child of the man that killed your father and held your brother hostage. My word, you have beautiful eyes. How about an alliance by marriage?
I get really strong Tywin Lannister vibes from Charles. From the way he deals with political opponents to even his children (not talking to his children except his favourite Richard for years on end).
My MC wasn’t exactly broken up about his death to say the least but man, I wonder who really poisoned him. My guess is mother dearest. Wouldn’t be the first time she’s done such a thing.
Personally my first instinct is that Matteo poisoned the king. I’m pretty sure he turned up at the right time to do it and there is a whole scene with him and isabelle if you decide to eavesdrop on them about how he’s up to something that could get him executed. Not like that’s hard though, his royal majesty has exactly ZERO chill.
I’m curious if it has something to do with why Isabelle always has such a strong reaction to MC being crowned, I’ve played through a few times and generally play a pleasant disposition and good relationship with Richard so it’s not like I’m gonna go murdering my siblings left and right.
Except maaaybe Atheris, something tells me I might not have much of a choice in that regard, none of my Mcs get along with her much. She’s a little bit too “chip off the ol block”

My ‘fingers-crossed’ wish is that
Same vibe, had to stop my gameplay and check if she was a RO
Can my hope be renewed?

All’s fair in love and war

I mean, I’ve got a pretty damn good character reference from Prince Xavier by this point.

That was my guess too tbh. I also think that trusting him is a mistake but I’ll play my MC in a fake trust way and build a very good relationship with Richard and him cause it’s that old “keep your enemies close” kinda deal. Sure that dad deserved to die (for all we know) but no guarantee that he won’t do the same to us.

Except maaaybe Atheris
If the Matteo theory is right then I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt. The only sibling I trust 100% is Freya. Hell, I’d trust Xander over Richard any day (specially cause I’m romancing Clara at first so I’m pretty sure he’ll be bitter about it)
Matteo, Arnold, Freya and Richard so many lovely people.
