My MC doesn’t want the throne, Atheris… Of course, why did I even think she would be loyal to the new ruler? I will probably have to choose which side to take
Usually, but I sometimes refuse just to see how it will affect us later in the game.
Depending on your relationship with Richard and how hard his mother pushes him in book two when you refuse he could use your own idea against you. Actually no that’s exactly what will happen given his statement after your refusal if you force him to marry that other girl.
I see your a fellow man of culture too @FatedFlame .
For ruling queens, does Lena offer Xavier’s hand in a marriage alliance? Because my “diligent ruler” MC would accept it for the good of Rhivenia, but celebrate internally (freeing Xavier was her one heedless decision, she cares for him deeply).
Yes she does
i prefer xavier than lena
i think it would be interesting if one of them is betraying us, add more drama and force MC to make questionable decision .
Well, if MC is to in love with Revna, and what if Revna really has a secret lover? then it would be like the fate of King Arthur and Queen Guinevere , with Sir Lancelot yet to appear… Lol
No.
No offense but that plot twist doesn’t make sense at all
Are any of the three female romance interests compatible with an “evil” MC? They all seem to strongly dislike the fathers decision. My MC may make similar decisions. Will romanceable characters opinions change as the story progresses? Does being the “bad guy” = forever alone?
What do you mean by “evil MC”? Do you mean Charles II of Rhivenia, or someone that wants to cause the most harm possible and hurt as many feelings as they can (throne or no throne)?
Well… there is an evil stat… Yes, I’m talking about what the father did to his brother. The romance interests seem to be strongly against that type of decision. Will playing as an ambitious character that wants the throne block off romance content?
Obviously killing them like how our dad did with his brothers is one way to keep or claim the throne but I wonder if there a way to do so without killing Richard, Atheris and Freya.
No idea, I’m not at that point yet. I’m currently waiting at age 17 dealing with a branching love interest choice.
Think I’m gonna have to kill Richard regardless of the romance answer. Guy reminds me too much of Liu Bei. Can’t risk that.
Lena is the only female RO who’s locked to ruler MCs. Not sure if she’s male locked or female rulers can romance her as well. However you don’t meet her in the demo. Also, you have to help her wrongfully accused little brother for her to love you rather than merely offer a political marriage. So she’s probably down with ambitious MC, but less down for a fratricidal MC.
Wait… Lena’s also an option? I thought the characters in the romance section were our only options… that changes things. Are there any other unlisted characters that will be romance options?
I’ve been ignoring her brother and let him get tossed into the dungeon. Shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
There is a male pirate that is an unlisted RO, but he’s set to have most of his arc in Book 2 because he appears late in Book 1. Lena is the only unlisted female RO.
Also, you might want to not ignore Xavier if you want her to love you rather than merely offer a political marriage (with possible sticky end) to you, once the full game comes out.
Ooof… I gotta be nice? My characters been an ass to a good amount of people. Pissed off that guy at the bar as well.
If it works out with Lena, cool. If she ain’t it. My guy might have to go full Anakin.
I mean you can be a bad person—my “royal pain” MC only cares about Clara because Richard likes her (she’s the metaphorical toy the other kid has)—and still be ambitious.
From your other posts, it seemed like you were looking for the RO that would be happy with ambitious!MC. If that’s not a requirement, all of them are options. There’s something to be said about romantic bad ends, and having everything except for the person you love (who will never love you back).
