Is there anyone here who also prefers not to be chosen? Question out of curiosity, most players seem to have ambitions to rule the kingdom

Look, even if I DIDN’T want to rule the kingdom, have you seen the other options? Richard is a dick who couldn’t think an original thought if his life depended on it, Atheris is too similar to undear old dad, and Freya, as much as I love the precious little cinnamon roll that she is, is, well, Freya. I wouldn’t leave a goldfish in these people’s hands, let alone an actual kingdom.

Yep, can’t blame most people wanting to become chosen by the sword. The other candidates are just too incompetent that it is better for the MC to do the ruling themselves

I don’t blame them or anything, but I was wondering if there are people interested in choosing path for MC other than: be chosen and rule the kingdom.
I wasn’t saying you were blaming them for choosing to become the ruler. I meant that I can’t blame them. I’m sorry if you misunderstood what I’ve said

I have saves with King Richard/Queen Atheris but the autonomy of being King/Queen is too good to pass up imo. Plus I’m overly competitive, even in this

Well, curiously, in my first game I came out as King. I was guided by this thought when interacting with my brothers: I could not let the kingdom fall into the hands of Atheris who is as arrogant as she is impulsive, Richard is not committed to the institution that represents the royal family and Freya is very vulnerable to the responsibilities that represents the crown and the sword. The only thing I could do is be strong enough to face the threats to the future kingdom, the consequences of our father’s actions, as well as follow the example of our albino ally in the north to acquire a more stoic attitude in moments. difficult as those that will now be dealt with in history more to instill confidence and courage in my subjects and not see ourselves vulnerable to those who covet our power.

I agree with you and everyone else: I didn’t want to be chosen but something tells me we will end up taking the reigns anyway. I mean the other candidates are… yeah.

Atheris maybe hotheaded and aggressive, but unlike dad she actually loves her family (Richard doesn’t count because he sucks). So I hope we can be like an advisor to her.

I wouldn’t count on her love too much, she already gets resentful if you favor Richard too much. I would be wary of everyone except Freya.
I never favor Richard so that isn’t an issue for me lol. Her carrying you and panicking when you got hurt is one of my favorite scenes.

Well i want to not be chosen by the sword and got the crown by force route , it seems interesting to me and as i like none of the siblings and i mean it none , this route seems to be the opportunity to give a huge fu to them.

That or helping Richard or Atheris claim the crown instead if we thing they dessert it better depend on how close the MC are to both of them.
I wonder if an MC that was not chosen by the sword can choose to help there cousin claim it instead.

Atheris is just the best. If you have a high relationship with her, do well at your speech and are king/queen, she’ll kiss your forehead and tell you that while she was disappointed at first, she’s glad the sword chose you . When I read that’, my heart melted.

She’s so cool. I can understand how some people might dislike her, but if you build a good relationship with her, she’s totally someone I’d want to have my back.
