The Sword of Rhivenia: Book One (CHECK #3830)

Probrably because it’s a big and hyped book soo they didn’t make any announcements…buuut they didn’t announce “The Long Weekend” either and today was also the same release day for “The Gray Painter”

They probrably wanted to not do another Release Blunder and just announced “The Gray Painter” since it was a smaller and less hyped up book

I’m pretty sure if you marry him off, he’s never gonna be on your side again lol

In my first playthrough I let Astryn out of the dungeons and it resulted in her poisoning almost everyone. Is there a way to avoid that? If leave her in her prison cell or if I execute her?

pretty sure that thing is fixed, even if you let her rot in the prison

Also… Please blur them, kinda spoiler-ish there.

I see. Thanks. (Fixed the spoiler, sorry about that.)

Edit: Is it also a fixed thing that my MCs first speach (if they are king/queen) to the people will get a rather bad reciprication? They start of as a ruler despised by many of their own people? Or I messed up some choices?

“Please, Dad–i mean, SIR Ronald. I did not play with fire, i am playing inside a burning house-- I mean Kingdom, but, you know what i mean.”

Jokes aside, i’m pretty sure those words also applied to Richard.

One of the member here said, you could choose to; Blame the enemies, shed rivers of blood and take revenge for your people to get a positive result.

Now, i haven’t do any cruel MC run, so i don’t really know.

Something what really bothered me during my first playthrough: My MC started to romance Clara, but then when Queen Lena made her the offer of an allience for a political marriage, my MC accepted, (only that she would marry Lena instead of Xavier), but the thing that bothered me was that my MC never got to talk about it with Clara, when she could explain that she only accepted it because she thought getting allies is the best for the country. The game just went on with the Clara-MC romance and never acknowledged that it might bother Clara that my MC intends to marry someone else or that my MC would want to come clear about that.

So being ruthless pays off better here than being a kindhearted softie?

Well… You could always choose to be kind in the next book and vice versa. Only to tell those words to appease the masses…for now.

Then again, most of the choices that gave you high leadership stat increase were always the ambitious ones, and the ones that require you to agree to what Charles did.

Like sir Arnold said… Being kind is obstacle when you are a King, or whatever.

Perhaps because Lena and Clara is part of Poly? I don’t know if the Author change it or not, so Cmiiw though.

In my first playthrough I aimed for being kind, but toughening up if I have too. Guess I still ended up too far on the kind side.

Lol am i the only one around here who doesn’t hate richard?he is a good dude, in my playthrough even his mom gave up on trying to make him rebel

But anyway which “harsh” decisions you guys picked or did not in perfect ruler type of playthrough?
Killed matteo cause thats the only way to reveal first poisoner and isabel will also lose reputation, so win win
Didn’t force richard to marry cause he would later rebel 100%
Obviously killed astryn (only gonna keep her alive when i choose her as ro lol)
Dont release xavier cause you can still marry lena even if you dont
Allow that man to beat those kids up lol
Marry lena

Even if they are part of a polyromance, I think it would have been more appropriate if my MC could have some talk about this with Clara before Lena arrived to the allies gathering at the Epilogue.

In my first playthrough I get that he resented my MC because my MC was also going for Clara (otherwise I think my MC was fairly civil towards him, tho she didn’t like that “father” favored him). In my second playthrough my MC was just friendly with Clara and in that interlude Clara said she hopes Richard will be the next ruler (in my first playthrough she voted for my MC), yet Richard still resents my MC when she got named as queen. Tho once again I married him off to Eda, but even before that he started to hate my guts.

Edit: If I’m not going for becoming queen; Is it possible to influence the outcome? I remember when I played the demo, that in one playthrough Atheris became the queen, but is is possible to get Richard as king? I would like to play a playthrough where Richard gets crowned and my MC becomes ruthless or even evil as she tries to take him down.

I don’t find any save system at the end of the game, is that mean there no sequel?

Saves are usually only added when a sequel is near release. The author said on Tumblr that Book 2 is in progress.

Yeah. Honestly, I am indifferent to him. Compared to all the other threats to our throne and kingdom, he seems like the least relevant unless he pulls a fast one on us. I know this is the second time I’ve bring up the author’s previous work but man, the brother in UW was a dangerous menace compared to Richard. I really disliked him and his manipulative mother. They were the kind of people you love to hate. Richard is just kind of pathetic and unambitious. I also don’t blame Isabelle for feeling the way she does towards us, given the reasons.

Perphaps because the relationship between the MC and Clara was not set in stone back then but when feelings are as clear as air,it should have been obvious that a conversation was needed, like Clara is obviously going to accept Lena but just commenting the developments to her and Clara saying that okay and “I will love you nevertheless” with a warm hug would not be a bad. scene.

Also Nutella updated tumblr with this message:

hope you enjoy the game. Thank you for everything <3

Damn she is always so nice, cute stuff, may the game be a success and she takes note from all the possible improvements/critics we mention around here.
