Exactly when she asks you about Pagonia you just say “Yeah you guys aren’t as hospitable as us” but the knowledge of your big brain MC ends there and that makes no sense,the MC just shuts up about stuff that is crucial on the overall situation with the Pagonians.

About the lying/manipulation options:
I wish we had a option that if we decided to kill Astryn by the end of the book one and spare Matteo to pin the death of our father on her to cover for his betrayal. Would be a great manipulation option since it would fuel even more the hate against the enemy and we wouldn’t look bad for sparing him.

The enemy is an invading force which isn’t shy about having “kill the king” as its stated goal, I think you already got all the hatred you were possibly going to get out of that one.

Goshdarn it. It looks like the failed speech and smoldering rebellion is a scripted event rather than an avoidable one. I ended with a Rhivenian populace reputation of 44: I let Richard stay with Clara (and he was actually quite okay with telling the pro-Richard rebels to knock it off), became engaged to Xavier in a political marriage (that in reality was the next step in MC/Xavier’s childhood (sorta) friend romance; Xavi actually rode out to see and stay with MC when he heard about the poisonings), punished the young thieves (and both the player and MC regretted it immediately), let Astryn die for poisoning Rhivenian people (this particular MC was disinclined to forgive those who doomed her people and loved ones to agonizing and slow deaths, but I headcanon that for the sake of what friendship could have been between them, she gave Astryn a proper funeral), and put Matteo out of his misery (and buried him), and my speech still failed and rebellion was still in the air.
Is the speech failure avoidable? Also I second whoever said Archery is the best combat stat (this MC had 72 Archery). And the MC/Xavi romance is still adorable, and little Leia is cute.
Also, is there a way to get 40+ Rhivenian reputation without punishing the children?

My speech was successful. In my speech, I blamed the enemies, promised to take revenge and shed rivers of blood. People love it.

I feel the pain i chose help children and married Xavier i let Astryn live matto live didn’t, i didn’t marry off Richard my speech some like some not how do get successful speech

Seems like he is only ok with it if we’re not romancing Clara then 
couldn’t get him to take responsability on my playthrough even if i’m nice to him.
If anyone knows how let me know, I wanna give it a try on the “pacifist” MC. Might also be because I marry him off but on my defense we’re at war

I married Xavi in this run. The political marriage alliance was an excuse.

Does romancing Clara (and obviously with Low Leadership MC) makes Atheris automatically chosen instead of Richard?
I’d hope to see Richard gaining something he does not want, whilst the MC ended up with Clara. It’s been the second time i romanced Clara, always ended up Atheris as the new king.
…then again with him as The King there is nothing that could stop him from beheading MC’s head, to get Clara back. But that’s neither here nor there.

If you have enough rival points with him and don’t have high leadership she gets chosen instead. It used to be possible to have a ok relationship with him while romancing Clara so he gets chosen, but idk if it works anymore on the released game.
Figures… It’s hidden stat isn’t it? Dang… I guess i have to start over, thanks anyway.

I think there’s a bug or something, I can’t romance Revna no matter what I pick and her stat was like 64/66

Is it just me or was the MC in Unwanted Warrior more badass than this one? I remember beating the more skilled and bigger elder brother’s ass in combat infront of the queen while being still a kid, saving and training their sisters, killing armed bandits by themselves while protecting their friend/crush, etc. I mean, we could speak and make friends with damned wolves, lol. So far, the only noteworthy thing my SoR MC has done is fall down a horse, almost get murked by a dagger from my own citizens, kill a deer and piss off the kingdom, lmao. The UW MC had to face a bigger uphill battle in life too, with them being a bastard and cursed and all.
(Forgot he was at the mercy of an injured prisonor, in his own dungeon too, in my playthrough)
